“get away weekend for 2 couples”
Hotel, service all just exceptional. A wonderful relaxing get away. Note: avoid the Barking Frog. While I know it has many rave reviews, our party of 4 found 2 of the entree's inediable (there's a HUGE diffenrence between a cirtus gremolata and HUGE CHUNKS of pink grapefruit all over a Duck breast. Waiter took one of the entree's off. Everything, just not great for the price.
“Not enough time!”
This is a hotel to spend more than one night at so that you can enjoy all the amenities. Next time I'm hoping we can dine at the Herb Farm!
“Lovely getaway”
It was a special weekend and the hotel was the perfect choice. We stayed there because we were having dinner at the Herbfarm. We probably won't eat there again, but we will return to the hotel. It was a wonderful surprise.
“Charming Inn in Washington wine country”
This cozy hotel is perfectly located near Chateau St. Michelle and other wineries, and also quite near to Seattle property. The lobby has a big, welcoming fireplace with an adjacent bar, as well as gorgeous gardens. Ruthie, the lodge dog, stands guard! Our room had a great fireplace, large tub and sink area, with a separate shower. There was also a nice-sized table and a small balcony. The staff could not have been nicer. We will be back!
“I couldn't be more relaxed. Luxurious vacation resort.”
This place is breathtaking. I stayed for three nights on a romantic vacation with my companion and I can't wait to go back. Beautiful scenery all around, I went for a walk every day to explore the grounds and visit the pair of truffling pigs Borage and Basil (don't worry, they are well kept and don't smell) and the lodge dog, Ruthie Willows. The room was super comfortable and I enjoyed soaking in the huge tub with a glass of wine and the fireplace lit. One interesting thing, the bathroom area is rather open. The tub is open to the room which works for relaxing and conversing with your partner. There is a sliding door leading to the toilet and shower area but also a large glass window to the room and therefore not much privacy for that delicate business. Didn't matter to me though, I will definitely be back.
“Great Stay”
Good place to stay.
“One of the best ever!”
Friendly staff, beautiful setting, well-appointed room.... What more could you ask?
“What a Retreat!”
From the welcome glass of wine at check-in to the final views of the herb garden on departure, this stay was top notch from start to finish. Alert to wine lovers and foodies - you have to stay here!
“Fantastic!”
The hotel was everything I expected. The room was wonderful and the staff warm and inviting.
“Lives up the Lodge name, in a good way.”
A very nice hotel, as it should be for the price. Two unexpected surprises made it even nicer. The first one was that while being asked if we'd like to sample some wine while we checked in, the also upgraded our room two times. We mentioned that it was my husband's birthday and that we were going to be dining and drinking at the Red Hook Brewery. When we returned for the night, there was a birthday card and two red hook beers in our room waiting in a bucket of ice. It was a nice experience even down to the hearing the frogs at night.
