“Will definitely return if we can - lovely!”
The hotel is situated at the end of the lovely Beau Vallon beach with it's own private access. It is a beautiful hotel built in a local style with impressive makuti roofed reception. Rooms are nicely furnished, clean, comfortable and modern in style iwht all the usual facilities (fridge, toiletries etc). The two restaurants provide excellent (if a little expensive outside of meal plans!) food and drinks - cocktails definitely worth it! We particularly enjoyed the buffet breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea served on the 'pier'. There are themed evenings in the main restaurant each evenings and we really enjoyed the creole themed night. The hotel is well situated for walks along the beach and several other good restaurants are within easy reach. My only criticism would be that the housekeeping department seemed a little disorganised so rooms were a little late being serviced in the morning and sometimes towels had to be delivered later which could be inconvenient. However, the housekeeping staff were charming so difficult to be too critical of them! All in all a lovely hotel which we would definitely return to!
“Made to feel at home”
The hotel staff were very frinedly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was excellent, the situation beautiful and it was a trip to remember. Yes, everthing is expensive but we expected that in a top class resort in an expensive country.
“best view”
very good place for relaxing.
“Tropical Paradise”
excellent beach side location, food good but more importantly the staff were very friendly and were excellent. would definitely visit again,
“The Beauty of nature.”
The Hotel is very nice the view that you see everywhere is amazing ,the staff is too friendly but you also have to visit 2 other islands in Sychelles which are praslin and la digue.
“Excellent hotel”
It was our first time in Seychelles. We went to Seychelles for our honeymoon. We were choosing between Fisherman's Cove and Hilton. We went for Fisherman's Cove, which was a bit cheaper, and did not regret it. The hotel is very conveniently located. The beautiful Beau Vallon beach is five minutes walk from the hotel premises. Victoria is 10 minutes drive. The hotel service exceeded our expectations. The staff spoke good English. They were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. Complimentary tea with pancakes and cookies was very much appreciated. Dinners at Le Bourjeois restaurant by a Mauritian chef were exceptional. Free WiFi was available in the lobby and Cocoloba Bar. Thai massage with yoga elements by Sheila and sports massage by Sabrina at the SPA center was very relaxing and healthy. Our room was spacious and we had a good ocean view. Among the shortcomings: (a) we had a tile floor, I prefer carpets or wood; (b) the design of the room was pretentious but not functional, the shower was located almost in the center of the room and each time we took shower half of our room was covered in water; (c) one of the sinks kept getting stuck, the staff could not fix it; (d) at the end of our stay the water tank in the toilet broke. All in all, we paid a substantial amount of money for our honeymoon but the hotel was definitely a very good value.
“Fisherman's Cove”
Wonderful location looking north from Beau Vallon. Close enough to Victoria to be convenient but far enough away to be thoroughly quiet and enjoyable. Quiet and excellent amenities. Several good restaurants nearby and easy access to a great beach and several good dive shops. Beautiful property and setting.
“Great holiday”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fisherman's Cove. The hotel staff were fantastic. We were very happy with our room and the hotel generally. The restaurant was fine, the breakfast was excellent but the dinner, whilst good was slightly expensive. However we were able to walk along the beach to a couple of local restaurants which we really enjoyed. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit the absolutely beautiful seychelles without paying the earth.
“Nice”
Good hotel - good location and a nice public beach - bit disappointing about the cleaniness of the beach area thou!. Staff very efficent and also available to help! Also didnt like payable internet in the room - however its free in the lobby area . overall would go-back!
“Would return”
Fisherman's Cove is a comfortable hotel at one end of Beau Vallon beach. It has no beach of its own but is a short walk from the sands of Beau Vallon. The hotel is well appointed, staff are friendly, and our room (Hibiscus) was wonderfully luxurious. The drawback for us (on b&b) was the price of the food. The buffet dinner was about £45 each (without drinks) and the alternative Le Bourgeois restaurant nearly as expensive (though we tried this - and it was extremely good). Snacks and drinks in the bars are also highly priced - so if you're watching the pennies then you will be worried by this. However, the bar snacks are big enough to share - so do that! There are several much cheaper restaurants down the road - the beach side bar at the Coral Strand is very reasonable and good quality. Back at the hotel, it is easy to while away the day relaxing at the excellent pool, or just chilling on the lounger on your room terrace. But, if like us you like to see more, then do hire a car (at the airport, or the hotel can arrange). There are many things to see on the island - superb beaches, mountains, villages, giant tortoises - and having a car is the only way to see them. The old stories about everything being payable in dollars and euros is no longer true. There is a new policy of everything having to be priced in Rupees - though you can ask to pay in another currency if you wish. In local shops, though, this might cause some confusion! You can pick up rupees at the airport.
