“The Great Escape!”
This hotel offers a wonderful staff and a real taste of Tuscany. The views are spectacular and it is nestled in among pine trees with a wonderful walking path for meditation or relaxation. The food in the restaurant was quite good but the breakfast left a little to be desired. It is a great central location and though just off the autostrada, you would never know it. It is quite peaceful. We did find that the "high speed internet" that is advertised, does not exist except for the reservation desk computer. They have a dial up system and you laptop must be equipped with a service to use it. The computer they allow you to use is also dial up an it is extremely slow along with a sticking space bar! Aside from that inconvenience, we enjoyed our stay. There is an older "Tuscan" section and a newer more modern addition as far as rooms go. We started in the newer addition which was nice but extremely small. We opted to move to a larger room but the amenities were not as appealling. It was a tradeoff. We really enjoyed our stay however.
“Definitely Will Return”
This hotel is very impressive. After spending five days at a depressing Venice Hotel, this was a very welcome relief. The view by the swimming pool is absolutely gorgeous! The grounds are well kept and a pleasure to walk around. Service and friendliness of the staff is outstanding. Food is awesome. I plan on returning to spend more relaxing time there.
“A jewel”
This hotel is exceptional. We ate in the Tuscan Restaurant in the basement level and had one of the best meals of our trip. Service was all round fabulous. We did not have a car and found the bus the Cuisi a little difficult to figure out. Taxi from the station was about 11 Euro.
“A beautiful Tuscan inn”
Our room was everything we hoped it would be when we looked for a place that had some history, yet had all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. Well decorated room, spacious bathroom, and a view of the sunrise from our second story chamber were among its many good features. Windows had shutters you can throw open, as if you were Lucy Honeychurch from "a room with a view" (even tho this was not Florence!) Ground floor had a couple of parlors so we could have private visiting space for us and our friends staying in other rooms. We wished we could have stayed longer.
“Worth the drive to Chiusi”
This villa is a further then most but worth the drive. We felt like we were at a spa resort in the middle of Tuscany! Very easy to get to via the autostrada. And for the price it is such a steal! You will not be disappointed.
“Best hotel I've ever stayed in -4 star +++++!”
This hotel was absolutely outstanding. Its setting and grounds were a pure, romantic Tuscan delight; its staff were professional to their very fingertips, and were always wanting to help, especially the lovely Claudia; and the rooms were immaculate, and everything you see in the photos is just as good and better in real life. The dining room was impeccably dressed and the full breakfast is superb - as was the casual restaurant we dined in. There is a tranquil elegance about this hotel which made me feel I was in a very very special place. I lost myself in the surrounding countryside as I lazed by the pool and when I relaxed in the gazebo enjoying 'american' coffee and latte. I hope and pray I have the good fortune to return here.
“A Wonderful Suprise”
If you're looking for a great "base camp" for touring the hill towns of southern Tuscany and Umbria, then this hotel is worth checking. Though the location is in an extremely quiet area, the hotel exceeded our expectations in most regards and represents a wonderful, restful oasis during busy days of sightseeing. This was a great find and value for the price.
“Great place to stay in this part of Tuscany”
Very nice and modern, though old hotel. Has been renovated with some of the latest electronic locks, heat and light controls. Very good restaurants. Near to vineyards and wineries, yet close to the A1 hiway. Only a little more than an hour from Rome, fairly clost to Siena. The town of Chiusi is a great example of the hilltop towns in the area.
“Excellent hotel with very helpful staff”
Excellent Hotel with very helpful staff,Lovely rooms, beautiful swimming pool but need to keep it maintained. Look forward to returning some day.

Chiusi, an ancient Etruscan town, dominates the valley headwaters, while Montepulciano surveys the broad floodplain from its hilltop vantage point.
