I use the Village Hotel Katong as my go to hotel when in Singapore. Convenient to the park and so many places to eat. But ... the floor we stayed on looked a bit tired. Wallpaper is peeling off the walls, the carpet is a bit threadbare and the aircon made an rattling sound all night. It had four settings. Off, loud, louder and loudest. Having said that, the staff are great and they actually check you in rather than getting people to use an iPad. Overall not too bad but could do with a spruce up. Keep the staff though!

Great shopping amenities. Friendly staff. Clean & mostly in good order. Close to the beach. Air conditioning in the rooms should be upgraded/modernized to add more comfort & save waste.
