“I LIKE IT THERE !”
Clean, beautiful, by the beach, swimming pool, hot breakfast, wi-fi. AND VERY CHEAP!!! what else do you need? restoraunts - 5-10 min driving, St Aug hist. centre 20min
“I will go back”
My first time to St Augustine. I LOVED it. The hotel is a little bit away from everything. But, that's a good thing. Of course, it's winter time and there was hardly anyone else around. But, I can imagine that summer at this hotel is just as pleasant as can be. Easy to get to. Right across the street from the ocean.
“Great hotel for the price”
Nice hotel right across the street from the beach. Not luxurious, but very comfortable and clean for the price. Very short drive to get to shops and attractions. Hotel staff was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.
“Clean, Quiet, and Away from the Crowd”
Although it's a very small and a few years old, Ocean Sands is very well maintained. Cleanliness is definitely a goal they accomplish well. Beach access make this hotel a crown jewel, sharing their own ocean sands with none other than local residents and guests. The nearest public access is about a mile and we didn't see any other hotels anywhere nearby, you get to enjoy the beach without the crowd.
“Great for the price!”
This is a motel-like hotel across from the beach (not on it). Room was clean, comfortable, staff was friendly and service was good. The breakfast is coffee, juice from concentrate and pastries. The neighborhood is safe and very nice, but far away from everything. My husband and I had our car so this was not a problem for us; the one night we wanted to drink with our dinner we took a taxi ($12 + tip). Great place to 'hang-your-hat' while visiting, specially for the price. Do not expect a romantic experince, although a walk on the beach at night during the recent eclipse was fantastic.
“Quite and very comft”
I thought this was a very nice hotel. quite and clean and comfy for the price. the man behind the counter was very very helpful, willing to look up and find anything we needed. the only thing bad was it has no elevator, but we were on the 1st floor so we were lucky. A place to go back to,

Hotel was as expected - minor maintenance issues (previously glued chair falling apart, light bulb burnt out, exhaust fan in bathroom not functioning); but rooms were clean and included small fridge & microwave. Request made at time of reservation to have adjoining rooms was not noticed, but attendant was able to accommodate nonetheless, even upgrading our rooms to do so. Pool was clean and proximity to the beach was excellent. Short drive to historic/shopping district. Breakfast was adequate. Will be returning in the future.

“Very nice for price”
Had a great stay. Wasn't there long, but not disappointed by anything. Hotel was clean, quiet and in a great location. Walk across the street to the beach. Not a far drive from downtown. I would stay there again.
“Absolutely ready to go back!!!”
I had an awesome stay at this hotel. The room was nice and clean. It was conviently located just across the street from the beach. There were very few other peoople on the beach which was very refreshing and relaxing. I will difinately stay at the same hotel the next time I am in St. Augusting!!
