Stayed several times and this time was the worst. Nice place, the app to order drinks/food worked sometimes. If you went to the food truck you had to order at one location and get the food at another. Rooms seem a bit tired. In the past you could reserve beach chairs at the hit on the beach, not anymore. They just said try the app which only worked periodically. Way overpriced.

Property not well maintained. Most employees were awesome! Ricky at Palm Court was the best!!! Other employees not at all helpful! Air conditioner in room did not work well and very noisy! Room in general just ok- not worth the $400 a night at all! Would not stay again!

Had a one night getaway to celebrate our engagement and opted to come to what is advertised as a 4 star property for rest and relaxation. Very disappointed. We paid $600 for one night and would not have had a problem with the price if the service and amenities warranted the cost, which they did not. Half of the resort was closed and under construction which was not relinquished anywhere while making reservations. Many of the amenities advertised were not available for this reason. As soon as we checked in we were given a sales pitch for a return trip that included a time share presentation. Not a good first impression of the resort. The room was clean but extremely outdated. The tv was no more than 32”…very small by today’s standards for an average hotel let alone a resort. Our shower did not drain properly so you were in standing water the whole time. The elevators were painfully slow and did work at all at times which meant climbing and descending four flights of stairs. The pools were overcrowded and dirty. Cloudy, greasy water with no effort to maintain throughout the day. The restaurants outside were packed with people, mostly because half of the resort dining options were closed due to construction. Way too many guests were forced to share reduced amenities. Restaurants closed at 9, bars at 10 on a Friday night. Resort over run with young families which we did not anticipate as advertised. Kids knocking on our door at 1am and running away. It was just bad.

I have stayed here before and I must say all of my reviews were good but this time we got a room that looked like a closet, meaning the darkness with no window it’s almost like a motel instead of a hotel. I expected Tradewinds to do better than this. For the amount of money I spent on a room a night there I can get an all inclusive package for the same amount of money and at least the service will be better. We had someone at the front desk to check in and I will tell you if she smiled one time, that’s a lot. The hotel room we were given, was one I had never stayed in. Only 2 elevators in which one wasn’t even functions. We had to walk about 10 mins to get to the beach, although the original trade winds which I used to stay at which is the main building is on the beach all the other small ones they’ve bought over time are. Horrible. I contend will not recommend unless you ask for a room in the main building. It was lousy, loud and expensive and not worth 700 for 2 nights! Nah I’ll pass, I will go to Mexico and enjoy myself so much more. Just goes to show that just because something shines it doesn’t mean it’s gold. So at this point Tradewinds to me means nothing and I would rethink if planning non staying here.
