“Would return to Elysian St Thomas in a second”
Would go back in a second. Location great, just a quick taxi to Red Hook and the hotel features wonderful. It is tucked away into an area where you feel somewhat remote and private, but yet have easy access to what you need. beach beautiful, plenty of chairs available for use. pool clean and beautiful.
“Can't wait to go back”
Excelence
“Recreational Activities”
Taxis are very expensive. You cannot walk although some things are close because it is very dangerous. The roads have no shoulders and have very sharp curves. The shoulders consist of a hill straight up on one side and straight down on the other. This hotel is good about providing free transportation to certain places on certain days.
“Amazing!”
We vacationed to St. Thomas to visit family. They came to visit us as we signed in and we were all so very happy with our hotel choice. As locals to the island, they had high expectations which were all met and well beyond. The staff was all very kind and helpful. The property beach was large, clean, safe, beautiful and so close; a midnight visit or a.m stroll was easily done. The location of the hotel was great because we were far enough from downtown to enjoy seclusion, but still a hop down. In the other direction we could easily visit "hot spot" beaches as in Coki and Mageans. Not only will we be going back, but we plan to tell all friends, family, and associates about our wonderfrul stay at The Elysian.
“i have to go back !!!”
i would absolutely recommend this hotel to any one who wants to have relaxation, and also to be surrounded by beauty. This trip will cost you, buts it will be worth it. Our hotel was grate, and the people was frendly; and always willing to assist you in any way that they can. Just wait untill you try the many dishes of the garte restaurants.
“Beautiful Resort”
This resort is only 25 minutes always from the STT. Always from all the cruises that are coming into STT. "Bonnie's on the Beach" was selected to be the best seafood restuarant in STT by the local news paper.
“Best deal on the East End”
The view from our room was fabulous! Good choice of nightlife and dinning. Wonderful pool and beach. Oh, yeah..... can't forget the Bushwackers and Pain Killers!!!
“Nice place on the beach”
Elysian was very nice. Great pool & grounds. However, our studio room was missing the microwave and dishes. It took a day and a half to get them.
“Great Choice”
This was a last munite trip for us, but we made a great choice with this hotel. The Elysian gets an A+. The room, staff and on sight cafe were all great. We well be staying here again soon.
“Good value for the money”
We booked this through Expedia and got a great rate. Beware booking at other sites as we saw others get hit with a 18% energy tax that was included in our rate. This hotel is transitioning to the Wyndham group and they are spending money to upgrade the facility. Major plus of this hotel is the restaurant Robert's Grille. Fantastic food and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was for a resort restaurant. The head chef is a bit eccentric, but his palate is first rate. Good thing too because the main negative if this hotel is location on the far east end of the island. Unless you rent a car and take your chances on the roads, your only option is a taxi which will cost you $14 PP to go anywhere. Going to the shopping area downtown cost $20 roundtrip. Consequently, to get to another restaurant for our group of 3 would be a minimum $42. Adding that to the cost of the meal makes Robert's a better deal. We ate dinner there 4 times, never had the same thing, and everything was perfect. The hotel itself is very clean. I heard people from other resorts complain about having to scrub the bathroom clean. Not a problem here. This is part of a timeshare group so be prepared to be enticed with discounts for attending an "informative" meeting. High pressure to buy, but we got out unscathed. The discounts are very good, 50% on a day snorkeling cruise on a sailboat that is top notch. Another is a $20 discount on a sunset cruise which is also very nice.
