“Great place to stay”
The hotel is still very new - I think less than two years old. Beds are extremely comfortable.
“An Exceptionally Nice Stay at the Holiday Inn Statesboro”
We found the Holiday Inn to be an exceptional way to end a long, unbearably hot day of meeting in Statesboro. Check In was a breeze. The room was large and immaculately clean. The bathroom was well stocked and spotless. We found the bar to be a relaxing end to our day. The bartender was friendly and engaging. The service was also spot on! Check out was quick and easy. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. This Hotel earned all 5 stars in every way!
“Will stay again”
Only thing that was not timely was check in. The room was not ready because a college football team did not check out on time, another then that everything was very nice.
“Clean spacious room”
Clean spacious room, friendly staff. Good location 2 hours from Masters in Augusta.
“Good Hotel, but noisy. Not enough insolation between rooms.”
We will go back, it is a great location and very friendly staff. The restaurant was excellent.
“Okay Stay”
They put me in a huge room with 2 beds that was both handicap and wheelchair accesible, which was completely unnecessary. The hotel was not full, so it's not like it was the only room available. All I needed was one bed and a normal room. I didn't have hot water for my normal shower, so I had to take a cool shower very quickly. Not a fun way to start the day.
“Best in the 'Boro, but should be better”
The beds were nice - looked AND smelled clean. The pillows were NOT comfortable, though. They were all lumpy and either way too soft or way too hard. The room was clean, but there was a big nasty looking stain on the seat of one of the chairs... eww. The floors weren't very clean (the carpet in the room), you could visibly see piles of lint. The bathroom was fairly clean, but since I have small children who sit in the tub, I clean it out before using and I found a lot of hair in it. My biggest complaints have to do with noise. The people upstairs from us (which I don't understand why they put people on top of each other when the hotel is almost empty) were stomping around and being so loud that we finally had to talk to the front desk about it. They went to talk to them, but never followed up with us. It didn't work, because after they were told about the noise, they just got louder. I also understand the doors that self-close, but these doors were so loud that every time someone near us left or entered their room (again, why not space guests out when there are so few?), their door would slam behind them and rattle the whole room. Because of this, my youngest was not able to sleep all night long. Every time she fell asleep, another door slammed and woke her up. The free breakfast in the morning (for kids) was great - both girls really enjoyed the food.
“Disappointed”
The only good thing I can say is that there was a Chili's, Olive Garden, and Cracker Barrel right there at the hotel with plenty of shopping options. Here are some of the bad things I found: the front desk said nothing about the restaurant, fitness center, or anything when I checked in; there was bodily hair in the shower and lets just say it didn't look like one from the top of anyone's head, the desk chair was broken, the printer in the business center did not work, and housekeeping came around at 8:30am to clean my room on the day I was checking out. And last but not least when I pay double the cost of a room than I would have paid if I had stayed at the comfort inn or La Quinta I expect a little more: the rooms were out dated, the ice bucket was old looking, and they had flimsy plastic cups instead of glass ones. I have stayed in Holiday Inns before that were nicer and more updated than this one.
