“Wonderful location”
For a business/leisure trip this hotel is perfect. Situated right next to the Central Train Staiton in The Hague, it is easy to get to the center of town or connect to another city. The hotel is still undergoing renovation, but the room was perfect-- a bit "zen-like" but with the most comfortable bed I have yet experienced in a hotel. Free internet (that worked!), beautiful bathroom, etc, all worked. The lighting in the hallways, dark decor and dried plants, etc., out in the halls are somewhat lacking in charm but the room and location more than make up for this.
“den haag weekend”
brilliant hotel next to station, hotel in immaculate condition with bumper breakfast ,fantastic city had a great time, will be back again -watch out for the bicycles ther'e every where!
“Week- end in the Hague”
We stayed at the Eden Babylon Hotel for a week-end and enjoyed the comfort of the hotel and the helpfulness of the staff , both in reception and the staff in the restaurant. The hotel was right beside the central train station for Den Haag, and in future this will be the mode of transport we will adopt instead of hiring a car - the big drawback with hiring a car was that parking was 5 minutes away in a public underground car park with excessive fees.
“right next door to train station”
Overall rating: Wonderful. The train Centraal Station for the Haag is literally the adjacent side of the courtyard square. Inside the train station is a money changer, a small grocery store (Albert Hein), a drug store (etos), Free Record Shop, restaurant, Burger King. etc. The main drawback to this hotel is that rooms on the train track side of the building can hear the trains.
“Convenient and comfortable”
Although next to the station, our room on the other side was quiet and comfortable. The reception staff were efficient and helpful. We did not eat in the restaurant but there were several others who did.
“Definitely going back!!”
The hotel seems to be newly refurbished, hence very neat and tidy. Staff were very nice. Continental breakfast was included, which is very rare in Amsterdam hotels. Though the final price of the room was reasonably low compared to other hotels. Location, fantastic: just next to the Sloterdijk Station which is 15 mins away from the town centre by the 48 bus (if not changed by now!) and only 5 minutes away by direct train. Other trains and buses to other places in Amsterdam. Negative points: Almost no storage spaces in the rooms e.g. no wardrobes or drawers, but there are hangers for clothes. Also not the best if you are looking for an epic view for your room. The windows face the train station so there are only railways and trains. Though it is not noisy at all. Overall, highly recommended! very comfortable and nice and clean.
“Excellent location”
Having stayed in this hotel a number of times before I was a bit disappointed this time. I found that the bedroom although very comfortable with great beds in the superior rooms, had a few things out of place. A bulb was out in the bathroom and another panel in the bathroom ceiling had not been put back properly - I did it myself. Having already complained about the standard room and being upgraded-which we paid for-I felt it wasn't worth compaining again. Maybe they were just having an off day!
“Convenient ... but amidst construction”
The former Sofitel Den Haag has retained its comfortable rooms and unusual but stylish decor since being acquired by Eden a couple of years back. However, it is currently amidst a massive construction project that will create the new Babylon center. Fortunately the rooms are relatively sound-proof, so I was not disturbed by the surrounding worksite.

Good location next to train station. Very good hotel accomodations and service. Outside construction around the hotel is a negative.

Great restaurant. Not cheap, but very good food.
