This was a centrally located hotel close to the action but in a more quiet area. The room was smaller and older but functioned well for us. They offered a delicious but inexpensive breakfast that we took advantage of. It also in walking distance to other restaurants.

Perfect location, stones throw away from golden Gai alleyways, made stumbling back to the hotel much easier

Staff is so nice. The breakfast was amazing. Rooms were clean and just what we needed. Definitely coming back.

A fairly old hotel with old furnishings that has seen better days. However, if you are not picky about the interior, it is a reasonably comfortable stay here. Shower room is adequate, hairdryer and kettles are provided. We got the free breakfast which was simple but filling. The reception staff are friendly, and are able to communicate in English. Word of advice - try and get the non-smoking rooms - the tobacco odour of the smoking rooms may be rather unbearable for some. We stayed in the main building, and it was an overall pleasant stay for my elderly parents and I. Transportation-wise, you may need to walk about 10 minutes to reach the nearest metro stations. There are some eateries nearby, though probably not as robust as downtown Shinjuku itself, which is about 15 minute's walk. There are plenty of convenient stores around the hotel - all within 5 minute's walk at most from the lobby.

位置距離車站步行約20分鐘, 拖著行李箱走起來很困難。 酒店外觀看起來有點舊，設施也有些陳舊，似時鐘酒店改建, 但整體酒店佈置是很好。 早餐性價比高, 好食。

The plugs at the desk were too close to the desk, making them unusable. Also the plugs are old and not reliable enough.

Convenient location, 10 min walk to the nearest station (Shinjuku Gyoemmae) and many convenience stores around the hotel. Cleanliness was so-so as there were dust observed and the bottom of the chairs were peeling off.

Room price is good for long staying. Quick check in and check out. There’re small refrigerator, iron, hairdryer and electric kettle. Good services. They make up the room every day. Family mart is a few walk from hotel. There are 2 subway stations near hotel.We walked about 600 - 650 meters to subway stations. We stayed here 6 days.

1st Tokyo trip in 5 years and the hotel's great!
For my first trip back to Japan in nearly 5 years this hotel was amazing. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly with both Japanese and foreign staff to facilitate a smooth check-in and check-out experience. As an example, I requested an extra pillow on my second night and by the time I got back to my room it was already there. The complimentary breakfast buffet was a great way to start a day of travel around the Shinjuku area and beyond and also a lovely example of a Japanese style breakfast. The cleaning staff were extremely attentive as well, I saw them interacting with guests from Korea and Europe and they were as kind to any of them as they were to me (an American). Without a doubt a 10/10 and I will surely consider the Listel Hotel Shinjuku branch for a future stay in the future should my travels bring me back to the Shinjuku area!

Good hotel in a good area.
Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Close enough to the public transit as well as the nightlife of Shinjuku. Room and bathroom were clean. Only issue at times was the wifi, for some reason wouldn't work that well on my phone and had a very small range, plus would sometimes just drop out on my computer. Worked well enough for work but could be better.

A great place to stay
This is a terrific hotel. It is centrally located and very convenient not just to all sorts of activities in Shinjuku, but the greater Tokyo area in general. It's comfortable and very clean. I wish that I wasn't on a smoking floor (I wish that smoking wasn't allowed, period), but that's the only thing I'd change.

Small room, but expected for Tokyo standards. Facility is a little old (a little cigarette smell in the room possibly from aircon circulation) but liveable.

Everything about this hotel is good only that it is kind like old school type. Room size is just nice for two of us and bed size is okay. Quit a distance if you walk from the train station but we managed to find it. So make sure you have pocket wifi so that you can look for the location on the map.
