room was compact but very efficient. Only draw was a lack of closet space. There was none. Only a few hangers were provided to hang on a wall. Maybe an issue for longer stays.

It’s like 6 minutes walk away from Subway station but it’s not close to JR line..need to do transfers or walk longer distance to the other subway stations in order to avoid the transfer.

Exceptional outdoor gardens and indoor relaxation amenities. Rare find in the middle of a busy city! Luxurious coffee and Japanese tea service from 4-8 pm. Full body massage chairs helped me de-stress. There is a calmness about this hotel that draws me to it. I did tai chi on the rooftop garden and morning devotion on the 2/F terrace. Staff is very courteous and the facility is very very clean. Our king room has very comfortable bedding but maybe a little too congested. The 2-feet behind the head rest is dead space that could be used to extend floor space for opening of suitcases at the foot of the bed. Chairs are a bit bulky and the round tea table is optional. We love the spacious bathroom with the separate toilet and bath space, but there is an offensive smell from the drain that lingered in room 1010. Room TV has Chromcast which is handy. We could also listen to music using the TV control. We walked to Tokyo Dome area with lots of dining options. I miss this hotel!

Very nice hotel and rooms. There was a bit of bad smell coming out of the bathroom pipes… maybe they need to take care of that. Drink time in the afternoon at the restaurant, would have been nice if it was possible to order some kind of dessert or TSUMAMI , unfortunately it was possible to order drinks only. Apart of the 2 above points, the hotel is really nice.

Lovely, quiet hotel that envelops you in calm. The rooms are well-appointed, and the common spaces, particularly the outdoor gardens (ground floor, plus two other higher spaces) are lush and peaceful. The staff was kind and attentive, and made everything so easy. The breakfast was astonishingly good and oh so much food! Walking to subway stations was five-to-ten minutes, but gave us plenty of options. The location is not in a touristy area, which made it particularly quiet (good), but proved a little tricky went looking for places to eat dinner (restaurants were filled quickly, and English translations were a little more difficult to find). The gym is small, but functional, and there were only two washer/dryer units, but they were well-maintained. All in all, we would return to this hotel and we're glad that we stayed there.

First of all, the staff is the most courteous and welcoming you can meet. From the moment you set foot, to the time of your departure, everyone is constantly greeting you and happy to assist you The breakfast is extra-ordinary. I would recommend adding it to your hotel stay. The area is walking distance from the Suidabachi train station and a 15 minute walk to the Imperial palace. In case you've not visited Tokyo before, they have an impeccable public transport system. I would prefer this area over Shibuya or Shinjuku because it is less crowded here and more peaceful.

We have found a new favorite hotel in Tokyo. Hotel Niwa is in an amazing location, but more importantly the lobby and rooms have a great blend of Japanese and American influence. The common areas, include a focus on relaxation and elegance, Fantastic breakfast buffet. we ran out of time to have dinner in their amazing restaurant but it has a great menu. The staff, most importantly is fantastic. If you are visiting Tokyo for holiday or business, give them a try

The room was very clean and relatively large for Japan. There was a nice view of Tokyo from the window. There was a nice balcony with garden on the 15th floor and a vending machine with alcohol. The only downsides were that breakfast was not included in the reservation and there was no airport transfer shuttle.

This hotel is just a few minutes to the train station which makes it really easy to get in and out. The entire property is top notch in cleaniness. Staffs were very friendly to us and helpful. The room is really small though for a couple, but it is a product of Tokyo. The only downside is there is only a few options for food within 5 - 10 minutes walking distance. Other than that, we would definitely stay here again when we come visit next time

Hotel Niwa Tokyo is an absolute gem! It is situated in a backstreet so it is very quiet there. It it decided with a traditional ryokan theme but is a modern hotel. Very calm and serene and “Zen”. There is a beautiful Japanese garden to enjoy as well. We had a double room but the bed was huge, much more than a conventional double bed. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. We will absolutely stay here again for future visits to Japan.

We had two rooms since we were a group of 5. It was great. Staff was super helpful throughout our stay and I found the amenities restful after walking around all day. Would recommend!

Everything I expected and more. As advertised and shown in web photos. Stayed on top floor in room with jetted tub. Slept like a rock it was so quiet. Amazing breakfast buffet. Close to JR and Metro. Would definitley stay here again.

The staff was friendly and very helpful throughout our extended stay. The property is in excellent condition and clean for the most part -- the massage chair room and laundry room were a bit dusty but all other spaces well kept. Location is safe, quiet and less populated-hectic than Shinjuku/Shibuya/Ropppongi areas and very convenient (5-7 min walk) from both the Mita subway and JR rail lines and only a bit farther from other subway lines. Fantastic and cheap udon restaurant Maruka is about a 10 min walk and otherwise there are plenty of varied food options nearby including the Tokyo Dome food court, fine Italian, ramen, sushi and fast food. About a $20 USD cab fare to Shinjuku, non-peak. Note that the free newspaper options, library books, and TV entertainment are in Japanese. Free premium coffee and tea in room and a nice coffee/tea service from 4-8pm in the lounge.
