Brilliant modern room that was spacious for 2 adults and 3 children. Hotel was walking distance to Ueno train station, great local food spots, shopping etc. If you like walking, Asakusa is only a 20minute walk along one road. Uneo station is a hub so it's a quick train trip to anywhere in Tokyo. The English speaking hotel staff provide great local expert knowledge regarding sights, food, karaoke, transport. Lots to do and explore in Ueno. Loved this place!

Really enjoyed our stay at Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North. This was our second stay with the Mimaru brand, and will definitely recommend people with family or big groups to choose Mimaru Hotel Apts. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed having a kitchenette and dining table!

My family (2a2c) stayed in this hotel for 1 week, we all love it! Location is good, just a few minutes walk to everything. Room is spacious and kids love the bunk beds. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will come back again.

Super helpful and friendly staff. Great choice for family accommodations. Lots of room. Bunk beds were a favourite thing. Very close to train station. Waling distance to a variety of restaurants. Would go back again for sure.

Great Home Base for Your Tokyo Family Adventure
The property is very well kept and maintained with an attentive, happy, and genuinely friendly staff. The room was great for our family - four of us got to make this trip together. Location Notes: We chose the Ueno area because of the beautiful park and because there isn't much of a nightlife scene making for a quieter evening. The hotel and area lived up to those expectations. One thing we didn't really grasp from the map is that the hotel is a bit further walk from the Ueno Train Station than appeared. One of the big draws for this hotel is the proximity to the Ueno Station which gives you excellent access to the rest of Tokyo (especially via the JR Yamonote train line which is a loop around most of the hotspots a visitor/tourist will want to visit during their stay). However, it was a bit of a longer walk from the station to the hotel than looked on the map. It's not a terribly long walk, but we were walking about 10 miles a day so were feeling every step by the end of the day. The big tip is to use the station's Iriya gate which is the northernmost gate of the station with both up and down escalators. Once we discovered that gate it really shortened the walk to the station. Conclusion: The Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North hotel offers a wonderful home base for your Tokyo adventure with easy access to the city through the Ueno station. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and attended to, and the room was comfortable and well-equipped.

This hotel was exceptional, the room was comfortable and spacious. Close enough to Ueno station to make moving about easy but far enough away to be a bit quiet. The staff were amazing and we can't thank them enough for making our trip the best ever. Can't wait to go back as soon as possible.

More spacious than we were expecting. Comfortable beds and very clean unit. It did get a bit hot at times as aircon was set and couldn't be made cooler. But that was only issue, staff were english speaking and very friendly everything provided right down to make up wipes and toothbrushes! Would stay again

First time in Tokyo and really liked this location: close enough (~10 minute walk) to Ueno station yet far enough away that the neighborhood was quiet. Also, close to Ueno Park. Hotel was quite clean, quiet, and the staff were very friendly and helpful when needed.

Nice property and beautiful room. It was in a nice location from the Ueno station. The staff was nice but speak very little English, so speak slow and try to use Japanese as much as you can. A couple of issues i had was that in Japan the sun rises around 4 AM and the window was directly facing the bed. Making the room too bright and hard to sleep when the sun rose. Another issue I encountered was that one night I was bitten by a bug while I was sleeping. Gross! I have no idea what type it was but it was no mosquito bite as it was a deep red and itched like crazy. Also, the bathtub drain clogged up at no fault on my behalf. Please ensure drains are working properly and clean the beds and check the matresses for bugs. Better yet change the matresses once in a while.

Some rooms have a nice view with a huge window and were our selling point, but we did not notice it could be a distraction. Thank you for your opinion. About the bug bite, we have been carefully keeping our room clean and have been changing some mattresses, but it might have not been enough. We would like to keep up our cleaning service and change some more mattresses. Hope other parts of our hotel were OK for you and were able to relax in our hotel room.
