Shanty Creek Resorts - Summit Village offers 550 guestrooms. Rooms open to balconies. Beds feature pillowtop mattresses. 26-inch LCD televisions come with cable channels. “Very impressed!”
This was the first time we had stayed there since the rennovation and we went there to see what had been done. We weren't disappointed - everything was beautiful. While some very minor details remain, this is once again a first class place to stay.
“A Great Getaway from your Busy Life...”
Shanty Creek was such a lovely place that I sent them a thank you card. The staff was over accomodating and kind. The golf course (The Legend) was so beautiful. I'm so excited to go back this summer during the season. We had breakfast in front of enormous windows and our waitress was so enjoyable to talk to. Our room had a great balcony overlooking Schuss Mountain. Lastly, our bed was very comfortable! This is a great place to stay.

very clean hotel and people there were very friendly and rooms clean and well kept. 2nd time staying there. will stay again if i go back to the area. price was right through expedia.

its been a few years since i stayed at shanty creek. needless to say i was amazed by the quality of the renovations you performed. as usual the service was great but now we even had a beautiful room to rest our heads. a+++ on the updates and i will be returning sooner than before!

We were delighted with the room at Shanty Creek. It was large and very clean. For the price, in northern MI, during peak season, you couldn't ask for a better room. The outdoor pool is huge and they have an indoor pool in case it's too cold outside. Lovely views too.

Far from anywhere, but mid-summer at ski resort was actually really nice. Pleasantly surprised and impressed. Good food too.
“Beautiful view and awesome staff!”
When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that the room was not reserved for a pet we brought along. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and found us a room inside the hotel (even though it was not pet friendly as we were previously told by phone) for both of us and our small pet. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and stress-free!
“Unbelieveable!”
I booked this hotel knowing nothing about it. I was expecting a rundown old resort! What a surprise! It had recently been renovated and was absolutely beautiful. Our balcony overlooked a valley and Lake Bellaire. The room was extremely comfortable and clean.

Shanty Creek Summit Lodge was a great vacation place. Easy travel to other great locations like Travers City and the upper peninsula. The restaurant was one of the best in the area and the rooms were comfortable, clean and well equipped. We spent a relaxing week here and would definitely return for another vacation. The golf courses were beautiful and geocaches were ample. There are even hotel private geocaches not published on the website.
“Weekend Ski Getaway”
Room was very nice, had been recently renovated. Overall hotel was well maintained and clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was quite good and convenient which works out well since there are not a lot of other options nearby. Overall were very please and would recommend for a nice weekend getaway.
