Set on 50 acres adjacent to Tucson Mountain Park, six miles from downtown Tucson, this JW Marriott destination resort offers natural beauty, a peaceful ambience, and an abundance of recreational activities.

The resort's Starr Pass Golf Club (surcharge) features a 27-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course, as well a driving range, putting and chipping greens, and a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse with a pro shop and restaurant.

Recreation

The resort's Starr Pass Golf Club (surcharge) offers a 36-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course that winds through arroyos and mountains with a variety of wildlife. Golf lessons are available. A double-loaded driving range, putting greens, chipping area, clubhouse, and pro shop are also provided.

The Hashani Spa includes a Pilates studio, fitness classes, treatment rooms, steam room, sauna, and an outdoor pool with a spa tub. (Spa facilities are restricted to spa clients.)

The resort's multi-level zero-entry pool, two spa tubs, and a well-equipped 24-hour fitness center are available to all guests. A tennis court (surcharge) is shared with a neighboring hotel. Running and cycling paths and horse trails surround the resort. Bicylcles are available (surcharge).

Children have their own pool and activities center. A kids club for ages 4-12 is available year-round (surcharge; pre-registration required).

Mountain biking is within a quarter-mile, rock climbing within four miles, and horseback riding within eight miles. Hot-air balloon excursions and four-wheel-drive tours are other popular activities in the Tucson area. The resort concierge can make recommendations and arrangements.

“Will Return with Hubby for Weekend Retreat”

Beautiful resort/oasis in the middle of the desert. Being from Louisiana, Tucson was a bit of a culture shock. However, the cleanliness and luxuriousness of the room with a gorgeous view made me forget home instantly! Went with a girlfriend for a wedding. Will return soon with husband for a weekend getaway! Restaurants, bar area, and even Starbucks made it super convenient. Didn't really have to leave the place! Summertime would be a blast because of the ample swimming pools and slides!

“Beautiful Resort!! Can't Wait to go Back.”

We stayed at this beautiful resort for 4 days, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The moment we arrived, the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Since we were not familar with the area, the front desk agent made sure we had directions to all of our destinations..which was really helpful! The swimming pool is fantastic and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Our room was a good size, and the bed was quite comfy..I was very impressed..the only thing I would have done differently was, to request a swimming pool view..we got stuck overlooking the parking lot.Overall, I would love to go back to the JW Marriott, they made me feel like a queen. You will not be disappointed.

“Tuscon”

Beautiful hotel and resort. I would highly recommend it. There is not much to do in the surrounding town of Tuscon but this resort has beautiful pools, golf, and great restaurants so you really don't have to leave.

“Great Place to Stay”

This was our 4th stay at the JW Marriott and when we arrived we were given a room overlooking the maintenance garage even though we had requested a pool view. However, they were very accomodating and moved us despite a full hotel. From there everything was great as always. Just be sure to ask for a specific view when booking your room

“Perfect retreat”

Nothing negative to say except cell phone reception was limited, due to resort being nestled in the side of a mountain range. Will definately go back. The steak house at the golf clubhouse was excellent. Very helpful and friendly staff.
