“Trident way to go”
Five star Hotel with Idia style, we had a great experience in Undaipur with the stay in the Trident providing a great place to stay and come back to each day. Great friendly staff, excellent accomodation we had the garden view Rooney, pool area fantastic and so easy to get around from a 5 minute Tuc Tuc ride to the old city.
“Courtesy and Charm”
The hotel is beautifully situated in manicured grounds, partially overlooking Lake Pichola which, thank goodness, was full after last year's abundant monsoon rainfall. The staff were, without exception, courteous and charming and made our stay very pleasant. The well appointed room overlooking the gardens was comfortable and, with its air conditioning, offered respite from the early summer heat. The desk could not have been more helpful with money-changing and transport organisation efficiently carried out. I recommend the hotel without reservation.
“Wonderful Trident Udaipur”
Lovely staff really concerned about your well being, well priced ideally located hotel, what sets it apart is the wonderfull staff, well done Trident people!
“Great hotel, beautiful setting, incredibly attentive staff”
Had a great one night stay. Hotel arranged for a driver and tour guide who were both very professional. Hotel went out of their way to make it up to us when the car we had pre-arranged with them to pick up at the airport did not arrive. Definately recommend the hotel.
“Absolutley gorgeous”
The Trident was wonderful. It's set in a park-like atmosphere, complete with trails and a wild animal park. Impeccably clean. Very helpful staff. Bounteous breakfast buffet included. Views of everything, and on same property with another hotel that is on Conde Nast's list of top hotels in the world==#6. Only problem was getting taxis or Auto Rickshaws to come out. Hotel preferred to promote a service it had through Avis. Much more expensive than other means, but also nicer cars and English speaking drivers. Would recommend to anyone.
“Stay 21 to 24 DEC 2011”
Excellent, staff very helpful and always willing to assist and advice regarding main attractions, locations, etc The hotel turned out to be an oasis in which you could rest after long sessions of walking in the busy streets of udaipur. Restaurant is great, excellent food and very good breakfast. Gardens are very beautiful
“Best Hotel in Udaipur!”
The hotel service was excellent. I strongly recommend everyone to select this hotel during their stay in Udaipur. Wishing everyone best of luck!
“Very highly recommended hotel in Udaipur”
Really nice hotel. Service was exceptional. Also the hotel has a policy about tips. You can leave an envelop at the end of your stay and mention the people who were particularly helpful, so you don' t feel that you have to give tip all the time as it is the case all over India. Breakfast is a very large buffet with fresh ingredients and the food was good in the restaurant although not exceptional.
“Quite impressive”
We chose Trident as we could not get rooms in the top 5 star luxury hotels in Udaipur for our dates. Very satisfied with our stay. Trident is part of the Oberoi group but in the second tier to their luxury brand. Very clean, impressive service, adjoining to the Udai Palace of Oberoi which we did access to have a meal, spendid place. Food was good, nothing exceptional but service was great. Lovely pool. Definitely would use again
“Lovely pool”
Our email was ignored for n airport transfer which we were entitled to, so had to take a local delapidated taxi from the airport. 1hr ride! We asked to see 3 rooms as they all smelt of damp! We were slightly jet-lagged so settled for our original room. Got off to a bad start but the city, hotel location and facilities made up for the poor start. Great buffet but only restaurant on site. Lovely park facilities.....HUGE bats fly around the driveway at dusk. Take a flash camera and take pics to make them fly around. They are HUGE!! 5 min walk around the back is a wildlife reserve where the Raj used to hunt tigers. You can see boars, peacocks etc. Also take a sneak view at the Conde Nast hotel with luxury facilities and infinity private pools. We stayed out of season, so prices wew half price :)
