"Two sides to this hotel. One side, a nice hotel with good size rooms, clean, decent swimming pool, friendly staff (for Laos), located generally away from the noisy town centre and lovely views of limestone karsts. Kop Jai who worked at the hotel was very helpful to try and resolve where possible the issues we had. Other side and points to be aware of. "This was an absolute surprise. For $13USD (what we had been paying for some mediocre hostel rooms with AC that hardly worked) we were treated with a rainfall shower. Excellent AC. A clean, private bathroom and a patio looking down at street vendors etc. Quiet hotel! Walking distance to everything but just far enough away from the party bars to sleep well. "

"This hotel must have been the bees knees before the Amari was built next door. It does appear to have been left to deteriorate over the last two years of covid lockdowns, but dont let that deter you. Room had a great view and balcony, the pool was great and clean. I really hope they get the bar and restaurant up and runnibg again and dust off the sun beds (they were stacked away in a room), as this hotel has potential to return to its former glory."

"It was disgusting. There were ants everywhere and we even had it in our beds and the water in the shower doesn't work and the AC doesn't work so it was freaking hot. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, not even my enemy!"
