“Great Location in Venice”

Hotel exceeded my expectations for a small hotel. Great location, within walking distance from train station.

“Great Value in Venice”

Very convenient for Rail Travellers as hotel is about 500 meters from S. Lucia Station. Very Clean, staff friendly, knowledgeable and english speaking. The breakfast with its self serve esspresso and capuccino maker is reason enough to stay here. Lot's of places to eat in the area, too. Very good value considering the generally very high prices in Venice.

“Wonderful,warm intimate hotel tucked away but near the fun”

We were very pleased with this hotel. The desk staff greeted us by name...and were expecting us!Our room was on the 4th floor, with a roof top balcony. The beds were great, nice linen and service. Breakfast was good; staff helpful. It was very close to the water bus to get to the main areas of San Marco and Rialto bridge.. there it was very busy. It was nice to come back to this little four star hotel. We also were steps away from the Church for Mass that we really enjoyed.!! you cannot go wrong with this little diamond hotel! “Well maintained historic hotel”

Location very close to everything. Clean, comfortable and GREAT breakfast included in price.

We traveled Italy by train (Rome-Florence-Venice-Milan) and this was the perfect hotel for our needs. It is a few hundred yards from the train station, right off the Grand Canal. Very convenient, especially if arriving by train and don't want to drag all of your bags through the city or on the public transport boats. The complimentary breakfast is great; it's not just the continental breakfast at most European hotels. It is a full breakfast buffet, and a self serve coffee/cappuccino machine. Nice. It may be a bit noisy at night if you get a room over the street below, but that is the nature of the beast. Also, the Irish pub about 100 feet to the east of the front door is mighty convenient to rest your feet and grab a pint after a long day of walking the city. Definitely recommend this hotel.

We liked the location of the hotel. Not to far away from buses. Many restaurants in the area. Breakfast at the hotel was very good (especially the coffee). People were very friendly. Hope to go back one day.

“Good Location”

Hotel is a five minutes walk from the main Train station Venezia Santa Lucia, which is great. The breakfast was good. Few niggles, lift was very tight, only managed to get the stroller in...and there was only one lift! The doors made noise when you open/close them. We had to lock the main door from the inside and the door to the bathroom didnt close (and didnt have a lock). Also, our room was at the front of the building, which meant we had to put up with the noise from the main street.

Location very good - a block from the Grand Canal. Front desk service helpful but condescending. Room average.

This doesn't feel like a 4 star hotel. The webpages for this hotel are misleading. The room we stayed in bore no relation to the pictures on the website and when we complained we were shown a room that was no better. Someone else was at reception at the same time as us with the same complaint.The room was very small and the decor not so much 18th century elegance as late 80's tatty. The inside of the tiny lift we were shown to was covered in scratched graffiti. The breakfast was ok but tinned fruit salad was an odd touch for a 4 star hotel. The reception staff were pleasant but the response we got when we asked for an English translation of the Italian/Japanese menu was so surly we went somewhere else. OK if you just want somewhere to sleep but you could probably find that much cheaper and closer to the main sites.
