Room Amenities
Dining
A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided each morning in a room with an elaborately molded ceiling.
La Caravella - Established in 1963. Wood-paneled interior recreating Renaissance-era Venetian ship's dining room, including massive safe from ship named La Caravella. Candles, fresh flowers. Lunch/dinner menu includes traditional Venetian fare, with emphasis on seafood. Flower-filled-courtyard seating in summer.
La Caravella Bar - Marble floor, leather seats, dark-wood paneling. Old wine-bottle display. Open during lunch/dinner hours.
Recreation
The Lido of Venice, the slender, 11.5-km-long (7.25-mile-long) island facing the Adriatic Sea that lies a 15-minute waterbus ride east of central Venice, is the city's playground, especially in summer when beaches and watersports draw visitors and Venetians alike. Year-round, visitors rent bicycles to explore the island, play golf, or take horseback rides. Aside from fishing in the canals, the central city offers nothing in the way of recreational opportunities. Deep-sea fishing is available in the Adriatic Sea.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

“Wonderful place to stay”
My second visit in 3 years: this time to celebrate our daugheter's 18th; all emailed requests followed promptly and with enthusiasm. Gretat location, but I particularly recoomend the service, which is second to none. Do eat in the rerstaurant, but do book in advance.
“Lovely hotel and fantastic location!”
My husband, 9 year old son and I stayed here for 3 nights. We had a spacious room which was very clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. We didn't have a view from our window as the building opposite was very close but that didn't matter as we were out all day anyway. Lovely breakfast with good choice from cereals, fruit, pastries, meats and cheese and also some hot food. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Fantastic location with St Marcs Square only 5 minutes walk away. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay there again.
“Venice Gem”
Great hotel and staff. Convenient location.
“Hotel Saturnia”
Friendly staff who were very helpful with arranging a taxi to the airport. We highly recommend spending the money on a taxi to and from either the train station or airport as the vaparetto are crowded and there is no guarantee you will get on in time to make your plane or train. We were able to print boarding passes on the computer which print down in the lobby. Great location near St. Marks Square. Good Breakfast selection and unusually comfortable bed.
“Excellent in every way”
2 minute walk from St Mark's Square, 5 minutes from Academia bridge, 10 minutes from Rialto bridge - perfect!!! Went for two nights arriving at the hotel at 11:00 via water taxi. Best area for designer shops as these are on the same street as the hotel but better prices and authenticity off the beaten track. Hotel itself is great - lovely breakfast selection, coffee and service superb. Staff cannot do enough for you, rooms perfectly clean and bathroom fully equipped with bath with shower head and separate shower cubicle. I would book again next time I visit Venice. Thanks
“Carnivale”
This is the fifth time we have been in this hotel and the staff and service is always excellent(

“Excellent”
Very high quality hotel in a really good, central but quiet location. We asked for a larger room, suitable for 2 adults plus child, & the room couldn't have been better. Rooftop terrace a lovely place to sit out. Breakfast excellent & the hotel concierge went out of his way to help with various requests. Our 8 year old was made very welcome, & she can't wait to go back.....
“Great Hotel, Great Service, Great Holiday”
Stayed for 3 nights. Room on 3rd floor overlooking resaurant was modest in size but had everthing we wanted and bathromm was real well apointed and clean. Room had a small balcony which was nice. Roof top terrace was very relaxing after siteseeing all day. Breakfast was good, but bacon was more "well cooked" than crisp. Staff very friendly and helpful. Loacation was great. Would definitely stay there again.
“True Venetian flair and hospitality”
We absolutely loved the Old World Venetian decor and architecture combined with the modern day luxuries of hot water, air contiditoning, satellite T.V., etc. The room was small, but standard to that of European hotels (not to mention this was a 100 plus year old mansion). Breakfast in the courtyard was not only excellent (don't expect U.S. Pancake house) and romantic. The combination of fresh food, ambiance, and warm and excellent service made us feel like we were staying at a Venetian home. We would defenetly recommend this property.

Area:
San Marco, Venice, Italy: San Marco (St Marks) is quintessential visitors Venice. The Piazza San Marco, famous for its pigeons, campanile, basilica, Palazzo Ducale (Doges Palace) and expensive cafes, is unmissable. The waterfront views are legendary and more gondolas depart from here than anywhere else in the city. In season the Piazza teems with day trippers though just a block or two away streets are quiet and offer more museums and palaces to explore.
