Santo Stefano - Bed & Breakfast
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (63)
"Amazing building- venitian architecture. Was told it was 16th century. Inside updated with all conveniences for a comfy stay. However... No direction regarding entrance to building and where the light switches were! We entered to a large dark vestibul. And they put us on the 4th floor! What the? When we asked about the lights told " its not a problem". Really? Walking up 4 flights of stairs in the dark is a problem. I carry a flashlight but it was not adequate. On our 2nd night we were told...

"The view of the canals was amazing. The place itself was beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here! There is only one thing I want to mention. My kids told me that the couch in the living room was very uncomfortable. Our bed was fantastic though :-) "

"Great location! 10 minute walk to Rialto bridge and St Mark's Square, and water busses available everywhere. Hotel room was huge with king size bed in the loft. There was even a small kitchenette and refigerator. We also had a balcony with gray pavilion views. Checkin and checkout was easy! The bathrooms in Italy are always a challenge with toilets flushing and hot water for showers, but nothing against the location. Would definitely stay here again! "

Residence Palazzo Odoni

"Perfect for families. The apartment is huge, beautifully decorated, with views overlooking the canal. 6min walk from the main train/parking/bus area, which is perfect for families traveling with kids who don't want to drag their luggage 30mins across a dozen bridges into the city. There are two mini mart stores and a two restaurants a few steps outside the apartment. Check-in was easy, our host Michele reached out to us immediately after booking and personally met us during check-in to walk us...

"The apartment was perfect for our trip. It was a few floors up which made for a great view out the balcony windows of the bustling people and lights below. Right in the middle of everything - great restaurants, Rialto Bridge, and all the places you want to go. It was a bit difficult to find as it was down a narrow dark walkway, but follow the gps and you’ll be fine. I highly recommend!"

"I was rather concerned about the practice that the access code for the lock is sent out only at 3pm on the arrival day; for travelers without cellular service in Italy that is a worry, but we had wifi on the train, so everything worked out well. We came with the vaporetto, five minutes walking from the station: no problem. The apartment looks better from inside than outside; indeed it is a very nice and modern apartment, just what we needed for our three children. Everything in Venice is...

"When we arrived, the management did not have our reservation. Since we were travelling on business and only had 2 leisure nights, and hence one full day in Venice, we were not pleased. After investigating, they said it was hotel.com's fault, not theirs. Instead of the small apt.we reserved, they found us a room in a very basic hotel, with inadequate bathroom plumbing and although it had a view of the canal, the entire shoreline in front of the hotel was lined with garbage dumpsters which ruined...
