“Funeral.”
Hotel is nice & clean, few miles from city centre. Car park small approx. 14 spaces, on street parking available in the vacinity. Rooms have flat screen tv with limited channels. Breakfast extra.
“Great for overnight stay”
I stayed the one night on business, it's not central but slightly out of town which is what I wanted, that said it's only a couple of mins in the car to whatever facilities you need. Clean hotel, good staff, restraunt on site serving decent basic food.
“Where else to go?”
In general no complaints. Points to note! Noisy plumbing in vicinity of room 14 Self service toast at breakfast. Hot toast on cold plates gives condensation. this gives soggy toast. Delia would not approve. No toast racks! Poor quality sausages spoil'd the breakfast.
“Worst Best Western I've stayed in!”
We stayed here over the Easter weekend whilst attending an event at the Cedar Court Hotel - we'd left it late to book and the Cedar Court was already full. We've stayed in a great many Best Westerns both in the UK and the US and had, until now, always found them to be of a high standard for a budget chain. This one was grubby, the furnishings were tired and worn, the beds uncomfortable and to cap it all they had wedding parties in the hotel on both the Saturday and Sunday nights with load music blaring until 01:00. Our room was immediately above the disco. They failed to mention this when we checked in or we'd have asked for a room at the end of the corridor. Building work was going on in the hotel. When we arrived there was an awful smell of some sort of cleaning product in the corridor and workmen were hammering away in the room next to ours. The hammering started up at 09:00 each morning including Easter Sunday. We couldn't understand why they'd located us in the room next door to the one being worked on when the hotel was obviously 3/4 empty. Our room wasn't serviced on the Monday notwithstanding that we had left at 10:40 that morning and didn't return until after midnight. All in all a very poor choice. In contrast, the Cedar Court was clean and comfortable with plenty of parking spaces. If the Guide Post is one of Bradford's "finest hotels" (quote from their web site and promotional leaflet) then I'd hate to see the others.
