“Wonderful, Perfect for Longer Stays”
This hotel was wonderful. Our room was clean, welcoming, and comfortable. Having a fully-stocked kitchen with everything from dish soap to a corkscrew to a juicer was terrific. Very convenient with washer/dryer in the room, right outside the washroom. Good location with an easy walk to the village, and with a shuttle stop just down the street. The pool area was clean and well kept, neighbors were good. The only drawback was the lack of a front desk crew when we were there, meaning you have to check in down the road at another hotel. They were great, though, and very efficient. Checking in and out took less than 5 minutes combined. Have stayed in many different hotels all over the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe, and am most impressed with Lost Lake Lodge. Would definitely go again, and have recommended it to family and friends.
“Cozy and comfortable”
Our family of four stayed at this lodge during the busy President's Day holiday and week in mid-February. The room itself had a wonderful kitchenette where we prepared all our meals. The washing machine and dryer were useful. The fireplace was great. The room remained warm and comfortable all night. The best part about the lodge was that the shuttle bus to the Whistler, Blackcomb ski area stopped right in front of the building. The bus loaded up at our stop but there was always another bus right behind. Maid service comes every three days and they emptied the trash and replaced towels etc. One drawback was trash disposal was in the basement and since we were there for a week we had to make one or two treks down there. All in all a great lodge. I would recommend it for convenience and comfort. The only insignificant drawback was the one bedroom would have done well with a queen bed. The king bed took up all the space in the room and there was precious little space to move around.
“Probably the best place in Whistler for a family...”
We thought the place was great. Having read a number of reviews on hotels etc in the Whistler Blackcombe area, the overwhelming message was that the village area was not much good for families so we decided to look a bit further out. Looking at the maps etc I thought we were a couple of kilometers out at Lost Lake Lodge, but we were as close to the action that my family and I would want to be. Factor in the free bus service to take you the couple of hundred meters down to Blackcombe and really it's just as good as being in the village. Would seriously recommend this place to anyone, but especially families holidaying in the area 10/10.
“Wonderful condo”
I chose to stay at the Lost Lake while on a leisure trip in the Spring in Whistler, and this hotel was perfect for our stay. Nothing over the top, but it was very clean with great service and a wonderful rate for the size of the space we had. I'd recommend it to anyone.
“This hotel was fantastic! Highly Recommended!”
The studio room had everything (and more) that we could possibly need, the staff were incredibly friendly and courteous, and the hot tub was reeeal nice. Free bus that picks up guests out front and takes them straight to the lifts/city centre. Just be careful if you are parking. Make sure you buy a parking pass and display it in an obvious place on your dash - Whistler towing are very brutal. Leaned this the hard way!
“Pleasantly surprised!”
The 1 bedroom was nice and clean. There were extra pillows and towels. It surely makes up for not having any front desk person. It's a hassle though when the card key doesn't work, that means you have to go to the other hotel to get a new set.
“Good value in relatively quiet location”
2 BR was good value for money -- altho extra charge for underground parking was a bit surprising. large balcony w/table, 4 chairs was nice. kitchen adequately equipped. free pool table in games room. adequate fitness room eqpt. 20 min. walk from main village, 15 min. from upper village. free bus stops less than 100 yds away tho. only problems in our 3rd floor corner unit were: very warm despite cool weather (hard to cool it down w/no a/c) and noisy buses screaming up the steep hill that this place is located on. promised queen bed in 2nd br was only a double -- not a serious problem for the newlyweds sharing it. would definitely consider returning.
“Good experience, need to improve check in proc”
Good experience, except that cannot check in at the hotel. I need to drive back to village to check in and pick up the key.
“staff's mistake, customers' stress”
We arrived at the Lost Lake Lodge in the evening only to find out a locked entrance door on which a note told guests to go down to the Whistler Village office to register. So we went there and got the room number and the key; meanwhile finding out the garage parking was extra $20/day. As I went to park the car after we got back to Lost Lake Lodge, my wife went to the 3rd floor but heard men's voice in the room. She brought our children to the lobby and waited for me to go have a look. At this moment, 3 men exited the building. I went upstairs and knocked on the door. Nobody answered. I opened the door with my key, and found beer bottles on the table, jackets on sofa and ski boots on the floor. Obviously the room was occupied by the 3 guys. The manager came after we phoned them to sort it out. She apologized for their error and gave us another room on the 5th floor. The whole process took 1.5 hours. Although the 5th floor room had the same setup as the original 3rd floor room, the manager tried to convince me that it was an upgrade and hinted that monetary compensation was unlikely. Considering that we will stay for 2 upcoming days yet, I did not insist on the compensation at that time. Fortunately, the services during the next 2 days did not have more surprises. Bedrooms were furnished with 1 queen bed and 2 single beds, kitchen well equipped; and the view nice. When checked out, I did not mention compensating the stress and hassle during the first night.
“Family appropriate”
There were some inconveniences, partially dry bedding in the dryer, questionable cleanliness of some bedding, insufficient dishes, inoperable can opener, insufficient garbage bags, poor jet function in hot tub. Staff responded promptly to most concerns. Common area were clean. It was quiet. Surprised that there was not high definition.
