“Great experience”

The hotel only had a smoking room left and sent me to a different Best Western hotel at the same rate. Good customer service.

“Bw Plus Ahtanum Inn”

The Best Western Ahtanum Inn in Union Gap is a nice stop, but make sure you ask for a room that does not face the truck rest stop. The staff is very nice and guests are offered quite a few discount options and free appetizer coupons for nearby restaurants, which was great. Overall, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. However, it was also more expensive than the other motels we stayed at along our way that were much quieter and just as comfortable and clean. I was very disappointed with the noise at night from the adjacent truck stop. The trucks leave their engines running all night and the hum of engines was overwhelming. If you are a light sleeper you will not get a wink of sleep. That being said, my son and husband did not hear a thing. The temperature in the room was difficult to manage. The room was stuffy, but when the A/C kicks in get ready for a polar blast....and when it shuts off, back to stuffy. Again, not a problem unless you are a light sleeper. I would recommend the this hotel/motel, with the caveat that you get a room away from the rest stop. But with so many other nice little local places that are just as nice...why pay more for BW's name?

“Value, great location.”

Price was right. It seems older, not updated. The breakfast area was being remodeled so it was dusty and the window treatments in the main area had layers of dust and cobwebs. i was not offered internet password upon check in and at 11 pm that evening i was really needing it because my hotspot wasn't working. The room thermostat wasn't working correctly but I wasn't too uncomfortable. All in all, satisfactory, nice location, plenty of parking, got a free appetizer at Outback by showing the room key
