“Pleasant suprise”

This was a pleasant surprise. Great room for the price. I made two mistakes when booking and the front desk attendant fixed them promptly without question. The room was clean in all respects. Much better than other super 8s I have stayed at.

“Perfect overnighter”

This is an ideal place for a transit trip. The rooms were neat and clean. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was OK (not much variety). Ideal when you are on a camping trip or in transit from/to California to/from Oregon. The hotel is also very close to the freeway (highway 5).

“Very pleasing overnight stay”

The room was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. It definitely was worth staying there. I have stayed in hotels that cost more and not near as nice. It was quiet and I got a good nights sleep. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, comfortable, and quiet room. The staff was very nice and friendly and welcomed me. When I go back to Yreka I definitely would stay there again.

“Reasonable stop over”

Room was pretty good size. Even though there were two queen beds we still had room for a 6 ft. camping cot. Beds were comfortable enough. Bathroom had a musty smell but appeared clean. Air conditioner work nicely enough (kept the room cool and was typically noisy when the compressor kicked in). Smart start breakfast area was very small but did not present a problem for us. Cereal, bagels, danish, some fruit and coffee/juices. Pool did not seem to be heated and I felt it was too cold to go in but the kids did. Pool area not well lit at night. We ate dinner at a family restaurant a couple of miles from the hotel. Not much within walking distance. Maybe 1/4 mile from freeway on/off ramp so convenient access. Did not find highway traffic noise to be too noticeable. I felt safe during our stay. Both the ngith and day clerks were very friendly. Wi-fi worked well enough in our room. Overall, I would stay there for a night again if passing though the area.

“Functional and cheap, but ehh...”

We called en route to let them know we would be checking in late with our dogs, which we put in the "Special Instructions" section on the Expedia site. They had no knowledge of the dogs, and had to move us to a different room. Fine. When we arrived, check-in was painless. There was an extra charge per dog, but it wasn't terribly expensive. It should've been mentioned on Expedia, though. The room was musty-it smelled like it used to be a smoking room. The bed was OK, and the pillows were terrible. If you need to crash for a night in the middle of a roadtrip, it's a fine place to stay if you don't care about the quality. Wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay.

“uncomfortable place”

Smelled of smoke even though it was a non smoking room, you could hear everything through the walls, the mattress was very uncomfortable. There was an earwig in the bathroom and didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on that. We won't stay there again.
