The Puffin Inn is very convenient to the airport and lots of businesses. We had a car so getting around was easy. Taz was very helpful at the desk in telling us how to find a store etc. Unfortunately Anchorage had computer issues so we had to wait to get into our room. Our room was perfectly adequate but not exceptionally clean - like the microwave etc. There were also insufficient towels - 2 bath towels, one hand towel, one washcloth and no bath mat. We could have asked for more but didn’t.

The room was clean but tiny. No drawers, no chairs and no place to even put a suitcase. I sat on hold for a half hour trying to get the shuttle to pick me up at the airport.

We had a great service by all staff except one employee named Teresa. She was the one at reception when we checked in and her attitude was very unprofessional. We had traveled for 22 hrs, had 3 flights connections and 3 time zone changes. We were exhausted and didn’t expect to have such rude greeting. She kept telling us she didn’t have a reservation under our name which we had done 3 months prior to our arrival. She was shouting and had terrible customer service manners. She didn’t apologize when she finally found our reservation. All the rest of the staff Taz, Shay and the rest of the staff at reception was very professional and kind.
