This legendary hotel is such a joy. Clearview of the Smith Tower out my window is a bonus. There are only a few places left where you can see this, and one of them is from out in the bay!

The location was close to many touristy locations, the interior of hotel was beautiful and historic, very clean and friendly staff. The downside was lack of easy parking, an expensive valet was available, also the location was surrounded with homeless which felt a bit unsafe at times but they were generally harmless.

The hotel has a grand sense of history and has been sympathetically restored. It’s a shame that there are so many homeless in the downtown core. We didn’t feel threatened but it was a concern.

Beautiful hotel. Staff from the valet, front desk and service staff were all beyond kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to accommodate our early arrival from storing our baggage to an early valet service. I will stay here again and highly recommend
