Check-in was a breeze, staff was friendly and let us store our luggage. Only negative was the size of our private 4 bed room. It was the smallest hostel room I had ever stayed in. "It was closed your Pic was from a year ago it is covered in scaffolding and not open for 6 months I paid in advance and had to pay again at a sister Hotel (Raddisson) who demanded £2900. when I had pd over £3400 to Expedia. "Not the hotel's fault but there are major roadworks outside at the moment and the road was gridlocked & noisy. Apart from that the lift system was 'quirky' with one list out of order for much of the time. Other than that we had a good time, the hotel is very well placed between the Royal Mile and Princes St. Excellent buffet style breakfast with a very full range of options."
