“Fun In Ames”

Went back to Ames to hook up with some college friends of mine and found this hotel online. Was everything I needed for the night. A comfy bed and a noon check out time.

“Great value”

This hotel is an extremely good value. Rooms were clean, staff was very helpful. Continental breakfast was more than adequate. Road noise is an issue.

“good place to stay”

I have in the past mainly stayed in Holiday Inn Expresses and other hotels in that company's group of hotels. The Ames Microtel provides a smaller room, but it is more than adequate. The television was good, the bathroom was clean, and the breakfast was fine. The price was about half of a Holiday Inn Express. If you aren't going to use the pool and you aren't picky about breakfast, what is provided is fine. I will probably book Microtels in the future.

“Suprising Iowa Elegance”

While anticipating a run down motel or something like that due to the low price, I was truly surprised at the cleanliness, comfort, television, breakfast, and the great clean smell of the room. I would definitely return to this hotel...I wish I had this option in every small town I go to.
