From the time we entered the hotel to the moment we said good bye, there was not a single thing we could fault. The villa was stunning with a private pool, the infinity pool was amazing, food was top notch and the service was perfect, always with a smile. We felt welcome and valued. Totally worth every cent we paid. Thank you to the team. Definitely will be back!

I stayed at Pita Maha with my mum for 2 weeks in March 2023. The whole property was beautiful. We loved our villa and private pool. We had an amazing view and it felt like we could truly relax. It was so peaceful and quiet. All of the staff made us feel like royalty. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Each time we would leave and return back to the resort, the staff would be so kind and welcoming. If we had any questions or requests, the staff were extremely helpful. It really felt like a home away from home. The food was absolutely delicious and we loved having breakfast there each morning. We enjoyed the lunches and beautiful dinners that we had there as well. We really enjoyed the appetisers they would give before our main meals. We are vegetarians, and they were able to adapt dishes to ensure they met our dietary requirements. We had massages there which were incredible. The masseuses came to our villa and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. They had a shuttle that would take the guests to the main centre in Ubud multiple times a day. The shuttle would also pick us up from the centre as well. This made it easy to get out and about. When we left, we were given a beautiful gift from Agung Joni. We really had a fantastic time and felt like we were in paradise. We definitely recommend Pita Maha as a place to stay in Ubud! We hope to return in the future :)

Beautiful outlook from room. Very well kept and serviced. A bit of a steep walk down from reception - people with mobility issues may need assistance. Location is walkable to Ubud town (about 20 minutes each way)

Architecturally, the hotel is stunning - individual stone villas set amongst jungle-landscaped pathways and with a gorgeous pool. Unfortunately it hasn’t been kept up over the years, so everything is a little dated and starting to fall apart. That said, for the price and location, I would stay there again.

1) staff was lovely and did their best to help 2) Wi-Fi was a real challenge, we had to go to coworking space to get some work done 3) overall vibe and location is good especially view from the pool, but room and furnishings felt dated. The room was a bit dank. Bottom line - we moved hotels and found better value in Ubud at this price point.

The private villas are absolutely amazing. Wonderful properties with outside shower & bath, private pool & and amazing unit. Breakfast each morning was delicious with many choices. The view of the valley and ridge walk is stunning and can be seen from all villas.

Best Hotel- Best People
We spent our Honeymoon here and it was the best decision of our lives. I genuinely mean it. Our stay was faultless and the staff made us feel like family and went the extra mile over and over again. This is the most romantic place in Bali and the staff are like angels. Humble, helpful, cheerful, funny and nothing was too much. We will come here over and over again and we have told all our friends and work colleagues about this beautiful place. The Private Villa with a pool is the best idea. Sitting in the evening surrounded with Gecko's, Frogs and beautiful nature. It was my wife's Birthday and the staff brought a cake to the room and sang happy birthday, they filled the bath with flower petals as well as the swimming pool. The hotel provided a floating breakfast along with a spa morning. We even planted a tree in our names! WOW. WE LOVE THIS HOTEL..... THANK YOU EVERYONE

Outstanding boutique property where each suite is a separate villa surrounded by high walls and exquisite privacy. Deep pool for each villa overlooking the jungle valley. Food and service are superb and staff manages each request graciously. Only drawback is marginal WiFi which requires new login every time it’s used in lobby area. The villa basically has no WiFi but that could be a pleasing depending on your perspective. Look forward to returning.

The property is beautiful and very peaceful. The villas are breathtaking, very large in size and comfortable. The staff could not be nicer. The property has a shuttle that will transport you to town and pick you up, it’s only a 10 mins ride from the main the street. The food, spa, pool are all great.

We stayed one night and were really pleased with the service. Slightly disappointed we seemed to have the only villa without a view but the rest of the hotel made up for it. The food at the restaurant was delicious and breakfast was good. Only downside is their WiFi does not work and they can’t fix it.

Very quiet and relaxing and the private pool was well worth it to just unwind. It is humid so the free shuttle from the hotel to Ubud centre is the best otherwise if you do not want to wait a taxi is good.

Beautiful lush gardens, stunning infinity pool & views. Loved the villa & pool we stayed in. The staff are really attentive & OVERLY helpful & friendly. All in all we had a great experience. The breakfast was nice, but small portions. Restaurant is pricey & small portions. Walk 150m down the road for delicious Asian food at Warung Pulau Kelapa or the Elephant 400m for amazing healthy options. We were asked about 15x in 2 days what our room number is (quite annoying). Small complaints, highly recommend.

Service was great. All staff are very friendly. Breakfast was excellent - they will bring breakfast to your villa for no additional charge. Each villa is massive and the outdoor shower and bathtub are a plus.

Perfect home base for Ubud
My wife and I stayed for five nights at the Pita Maha, never having been to Bali before but having traveled extensively in SE Asia. This resort was perfect. Our villa was gorgeous, with a great view of Kampuhan ridge. Better than the pictures! Staff cleaned twice daily, kept fresh fruit and snacks stocked, and every single person on the property greeted us with a smile. Breakfast each morning was delicious and more than enough to fuel an active (or not) Bali day. Walking distance (~1k) or a cheap cab (~$3.50) from downtown, but plenty of restaurants and spas even closer as well, while feeling remote. We wish we didn’t have to go home! Highly recommend this property.

Absolutely amazing. We stayed in one of the private the pool villas and it was a complete dream. Gorgeous, traditional Balinese-style suites are appointed with care and quality and the delightful staff made us feel very welcome. It is such a peaceful place. We used the hotel shuttle to go into Ubud and walked back and both were easy to do. It would be good if the shuttle went back and forth more frequently, but it's also easy to get a cab and we thought it was a pleasant walk. There's a smattering of nice shops and restaurants around the hotel but not the intensity of central Ubud. We were glad to be out of the hustle and bustle. We would absolutely recommend the Pita Maha for a really special holiday experience.

Absolutely wonderful! This hotel I see quiet - spectacular views . Beautiful lush environment . Staff were attentive and very friendly . Only fault would be the bathroom facilities were a little dated - plumbing wasn't great however maybe expected in the high altitude. Would definitely visit again :)

We are so glad we selected Pita Maha for our stay in Ubud. The welcoming staff provided a cold towel and fresh fruit drinks. Our bags were taken to our magical room (villa 205) it was a nice room, private pool and perfect view of the jungle. It was so romantic. We enjoyed the tropical outdoor shower and tub. The staff was top notch. The breakfast was served good every morning and the drinks by the pool were refreshing. Don’t miss out on a good experience, you won’t regret it!

The property is beautiful. Staff is kind and friendly. WiFi is not reliable but I think it is a good thing. People are forced to unplug. Shuttle bus to town is every 2 to 3 hours. It would be helpful if it is a little more frequent and if it linked to the other sister properties. The walk way to the town center is nonexistent, especially at night. Tax is readily available for 50K rupiah

Overall our stay at the Pita Maha was amazing. From the friendly staff, to the spacious, clean villa w/ pool and also the luxurious hotel in itself was so great. We were visiting on our honeymoon and it was perfect. There is also a lot near by to see and go out to eat -- also, they are very helpful in accommodating any touristy requests :) I would definitely recommend to anyone going to Bali/Ubud to stay there!

Mountain Privacy!
Pita Maha was just what we needed! We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy of the Spa Villa. Nestled on the side of the mountain we could hear the rushing waters of the river below us and enjoy the beauty of the jungle around us. Our personal jacuzzi, whirlpool, infinity pool, sauna and massage area were so convenient and relaxing. We especially enjoyed having our meals served poolside. The staff members were very conscientious about observing our private space, but were also very attentive to our needs. We look forward to a return visit to Pita Maha!

This is a classical great hotel in the mysterious woods. If you want special atmosphere in Ubud, I recommend it for you. But if you want just be comfortable, you may feel it could be better. Because air-conditioner didn't work well at least in my room. The value of this hotel depends on what you want.

Loved the stay however I booked 2 rooms and requested a rollout bed for 1 of the rooms which they charged an extra USD$85 per night. When I went to visit the 2nd room before checking out - turns out the "rollout bed" is already a couch that is permanently in the room. Seemed a little unreasonable to charge us for something that was already a standard in the room. That was the letdown of the stay. The spa and infitinty pool were wonderful but we could only use the spa pool if we paid for a specific spa package which was a little disappointing. The restaurant was quite limited in their drinks selection. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The individual rooms make it feel like a private sanctuary which was lovely, plus the entire resort was always calm and peaceful.
