Beyeren Bar & Restaurant - This ground floor restaurant offers medium-priced courses of Scandinavian cuisine specializing in Persetorsk (a Bergen classic) and lamb shank.
The Beyeren Bar - Attached to the restaurant, the bar serves cocktails, fine wines and local Hansa beer. Hours are Monday through Friday 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Friday through Saturday 4:00 PM until midnight. The bar is closed Sundays.

“Good hotel in convenient location.”
Hotel First Marin was a good quality hotel in a very convenient location for visiting the sights, shops and restaurants of Bergen. It was just off Bryggen the picturesque harbour area and about 2-3 minutes walk from the boat terminus where you could catch an express boat to the fjords. Only 1 drawback - breakast was a bit of a free for all. The food was good but the breakfast area was very small and there were not enough tables. Apparently there are plans to rectify this.
“Quiet and relaxed”
Centrally located near the harbour and shops. Rooms of a high standard and a wide selection to eat at breakfast. Overall, very good.
“Right in the action of Bergen”
Hotel Marin was in a great location and had a good room, good breakfast and comfortable bed. They even had a heater bar to dry your hand washables. We even had a view of the bay if you leaned out our window. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Grat place to stay if going to Bergen”
Clean Hotel throughout. Very friendly folks. Great Breakfast. Superb front desk support. Best location in Bergen. What's not to like? (other than the price)! Prices in Norway are a shock to anyone from USA, UK, Germany, etc. Be prepared to pay: $18 for pint of beer ($5 at grocery store, per beer -- no, you can't find it cheaper - we tried); 2-3 times per what you pay for dinner out (typical $200 per couple; even McD's Meal Deal is over $15) and prices of every thing else are outrageous. Kids pay / hr. working at McD's are $28/hr (150 Kr), so you get the idea. Do not come here unless you are super rich or have a fat cookie jar..
“Excellent Central Location”
First Hotel Marin is located a couple minutes walk from the fish market. There is a good choice of restaurants right on the doorstep as well as good bus links. The airport bus stops just round the corner at SAS Raddison, 5 minute walk. Hotel is very tastefully decorated, has lots of character. Rooms are very spacious and clean and there is a good choice of food for breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definately stay there again.
“Definitely recommend”
Great location in Bergen near the Old Town. Modern and clean. Quiet room, unlike a nearby hotel which we had to leave because of nightclub noise. Very nice breakfast too.
“Great Location”
Nice hotel close to the waterfront, in fact the back of the hotel actually faces the harbourfront. The rooms are not large, but are very comfortable and clean. Our room came with buffett breakfast included, which represented great value when you take into account restaurant prices in Bergen. All staff we encountered spoke english and were very friendly and helpful.
