“Very nice hotel”
It is a nice hotel with very comfortable beds.
“Good standard motel, very helpful front desk”
I chose Country Inn based on reviews on Trip Advisor. There were many complaints about the other motels, concerning cleanliness and bugs. The Country Inn was spotless, in the lobby, room and exercise room. This is on par with what you would expect from a Marriott Courtyard or Holiday Day Inn Express. Our room was well equipped, and the king bed was excellent. Country Inn was cheaper than its competitors such as Fairfield and Ramada. The Country Inn is right next to the interstate, which is a plus or minus depending on what you want. It's in the motel area, which is also where the large mall is. Our lower floor room was way below the highway level so it was quiet. The location on New Hampshire St is just a few blocks from a city park that connects to a walking-running trail. Expedia and Country Inn helped me resolve a mistake I had made on my reservation. It was entirely my fault. I misread calendar dates and booked the room one night earlier than we arrived. Missing the first night, we technically had no right to a refund because we hadn't complied with the cancellation policy of the hotel. The hotel graciously offered to charge us for 4 nights instead of 5, and Expedia cooperated in adjusting the reservation and issued a refund on our credit card.
“Best breakfast for business travelers”
I've been staying in this hotel monthly for over three years. They do several things for their business travelers to make them feel more at home. First, the breakfast in the dining room is good, but ask for the breakfast sheet at the front desk and get breakfast tacos delivered to your room. It's the only way to get the tacos and they are almost worth the trip to Harlingen. The lady makes them by hand downstairs and delivers them at 30 minute intervals. I always try to tip her well. The second thing is the business networking on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6 to 7:30. A couple of choices of beer or wines (no premium brands, sorry) and if you feel talkative, there is usually someone willing to take up a conversation. I've met many people from all over the US at this function. The hotel isn't perfect, but the people are so helpful and willing to go out of their way if needed, it is easy to overlook small issues.

I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel and the rooms for the price. My son had stayed in these hotels before and suggested that we try it. I am glad we did.

Excellent quality for the price. Courteous staff. Lots of equipment to choose from in fitness room. Only drawback was no security locks on doors.
“Will stay here if I'm ever in Harlingen again.”
Lillian, the lady at the front desk, went above and beyond great service all weekend. The first shuttle driver went out of his way to bring me back to where he had picked me up when I discovered my cell phone was missing - shuttle service had already expired for the day. There are places within walking distance, but you have to be able to handle the heat :)

“It wasn't the Hilton but it wasn't Motel 6”
This was a hotel that was the middle of the road. The bed wasn't too comfortable and they didn't have cots available. Good breakfast. They had the cutes texas shaped waffles.
