“Recommend”
Lovely clean hotel, very friendly staff who where very helpful. Hotel in ideal location for sightseing sited just of the square of the bascilica church. all pedestrianised thus very quiet. Very close to the Danube and surrounded by lovely restaurants
“Supurb hotel in central location at affordable rates”
The hotel was centrally located, yet very quiet at night and was easy to get to and from the airport (about 40 minutes via bus 200E and Metro M3). The room was well furnished and comfortable and the breakfast was more than ample.
“Great Hotel!”
We were very pleased with this hotel; the location cannot be faulted, being only metres away from St. Stephen's Basillica and central to the Chain Bridge, over to Buda and Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion etc.. Our room was small but comfortable and clean and I could not fault it in any way; breakfast was beautifully laid out, plentiful and about what I expected for a continental selection, so happy for the four days we were visiting. We would not hesitate to return to the hotel and indeed Budapest itself; walking along the Danube, looking over to Buda and across to Parliament is something I will remember forever. Beautiful, beautiful city and great stay in a warm, cosy hotel.
“Perfect Location”
Hotel Central Basilica in Budapest was affordable, clean, comfortable and conveniently located, providing easy access to all other parts of the city. It was a quick walk from the hotel to Deak Ter Metro Station, where all subway lines originate, and to the trolley that goes to the Buda side of the Danube. It was near a currency exchange store, coffee shops, good restaurants and souvenir shops. A free walking tour meets outside the hotel every day at 2:30. Staff at Hotel Central Basilica were courteous and helpful. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable, and the plumbing in the bathrooms worked well. Free breakfast offered a variety of choices, from eggs to hot cereal. I highly recommend Hotel Central Basilica for its location, convenience and price.
“a fantastic hotel”
We went to Budapest for the Christmas markets. The hotel was ideally situated for the markets and shops. It was clean and well maintained. The staff were brilliant; spoke good English and were very helpful. Breakfast was very good - buffet from 7 - 10 and plenty of choice. We were very impressed with this hotel and will definitely return.

Very comfortable, clean hotel in a great location. Very good breakfast, helpful, polite staff. Well worth a visit.
“First class,”
This was one of the most comfortable friendly hotels we have ever stayed at. centrally located-as the name suggests!, good facilities and so easy to get to everywhere. Breakfast was typically Eastern European, we loved it. Would recommend staying here and would definately return
“location, location, location”
And I mean location! A central location that invites a pleasant stroll to Parliment; the Chain Brisge & Buda; the Great Synagouge, Central Market & the shops of Vaci Ut; Andrussy Ut and the magnificent Opera & the not to be missed House of Terror. The hotel is a block from the subway & out to City Park (great in summer; somewhat dreary in winter except for the baths). This boutique hotel is a great value & location. Comfortable rooms & a well presented, full, hot breakfast (& they stock it even up to closing time). Walk out the entrance & you are in front of St. Stephen's Basilica; great resturants in neighborhood (Mo & Mama Trattoria right across the street). The only change I would suggest is to have the BBC channel rather than the repetitious CNN station (Turner movies at night but usually dated, 1960's films & not the classics or recent).
“Great Place to Stay”
This is a very comfortable and quiet hotel, in an excellent location for walking the city, and it has an awesome breakfast buffet.
“Great Location”
Excellent location within easy walking distance of all the major sights and the metro which links to the airport. Room was clean, warm in winter and large. Breakfast was a good selection.
