“Beautiful resort with impeccable service!”
My friend and I were there celebrating our birthdays - and having a much needed girls getaway. The Royal in Cancun was truly fantastic! Our room was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the staff was truly sincere in treating you like a welcomed guest. We had a problem with our room keys not working a couple of times, but the manager explained that if kept too close to our cell phones or our Kindles, they became deactivated. Once we kept them seperate - all was fine. The spa was a wonderful treat as well. We both scheduled facials - and they were truly divine! Ask for Aida or Teresa! We both enjoyed our stay so much that we plan to return again in a couple of years!
“Check in complicated”
Only complaint was that at check in, our room was overbooked and we had to change rooms the next day. Very inconvenient and takes up time I did not want to spend re and then unpacking again.
“So Amazing!!!”
We stayed in a Royal Jr Suite for 8 night for our anniversary and this resort was absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to go back. The food was not as good as I had hoped, but it was still lovely. Close to everything, but a refuge if you want to get away from it all. They Royal has our business for future stays without question. They made sure to have champagne in our room upon our arrival as I had requested and we had a beautiful rose petal turn down for our anniversary as well. We did the romantic dinner on the beach and it was so pretty. I couldn't have asked for a more romantic anniversary!!! Others had stated that their nightly turn down was not consistent, but we experienced none of those issues, everything was done when it should have been. We loved the series of whirlpools outside, all the staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating.
“Love the Royal in Cancun!”
This was the first time going to Cancun and we are ready to go back! The resort is very clean and modern decor. All the staff was very nice and at your beck and call whenever you needed them. When we booked this trip we wanted a romantic week for our anniversary. The only negative comment we can say is we felt it was more of a party atmosphere where we were looking for more of a quiet romantic one. We still had a blast and would go back but maybe not the first choice for a quiet romantic getaway. The food was good other than being a little more gourmet than we are used to but we still enjoyed it! No authentic mexican food! The view was absolutely amazing! All the rooms have the same view for the most part. You won't be disappointed!
“Can't waint to come back”
Everything you show on the web site is very acurate and actually better in person. Can not wait to plan next trip. Would never stay any place but here.
“Happy honeymooners from Minnesota”
The only thing we didn't enjoy was the 90 minute sales pitch at the start of our trip, try to avoid it if you can although you get paid for going through it with a voucher. The service was excellent all around, staff did a great job with everything. There was a good variety of food and we thought it all was great. Pool was awesome, just had to get down there early to get a blue floating mattress if you wanted one(they need more!). Every night but Sunday there was a show in the lobby. Definitely would go back to The Royal.
“We can't wait to go back!!”
We picked this hotel off of the internet as we had never been to Cancun. I was jumping up and down in the room with excitement when we checked in. The hotel is brand new. The food was amazing, better than any all inclusive I had been to before. The drinks were great and the service by the pool was wonderful. Find Israel in MariaMarie. He is a great waiter.
“Awesome, Beautiful, Comfy and Romantic”
I traveled with my boyfriend and another couple and for all four of us this was our first time to Mexico and vacationing all-inclusive. We loved the whole experience. The Royal Hotel is absolutely beautiful, attention to detail is very apparent. Standing or sitting on the balconies with the view of the ocean is like sitting in a fairytale. The furnishings, layouts and size of the rooms grandiose, restaurants, food and especially the staff are , top notch. The beds are to die for comfy, with every type of pillow you could imagine. The food was great all week, with many restaurants to choose from. We never got into Chef's Plate, they were booked the entire visit. Drinks were great and plenty. The staff was attentive and even better with a tip, they deserve every cent extra! Every staff member looked happy and said Hola, cannot compliment them enough. The Royal has set the standard for extreme relaxation. Even if you are an on the go person you will want to sit back and enjoy the company you are with, the beach, pool and the hotel itself. The water of the ocean was sooooo warm. We really did not leave the resort for 4 days, except to try and buy souvenirs at a flea market, do not bother, everything was ridiculously expensive and to barter was irritating. Wished we had not wasted the time. Check out the jewelry store in the hotel, they had some unique items at great prices (you can barter with them). This hotel will not disappoint the most finicky person.
“Get the swim up room!!”
One of the nicest rooms I've had the privilege of staying in. We had the swim up room.... Fantastic!! Staff A++, Food A - B+, Drinks A+, room A+++ Don't waste your time going downtown Cancun, the deals are just as good across the street from the hotel :)
“Great Cancun resort”
Very nice accomodations. Great beach, great pool area. Food was in general good. Drinks were good. No Coca-Cola. Or Corona.... Sales pitch the first morning you are there. Avoid this at all costs. It ends up taking like 4 hours, and they don't like being told no. This side of pushy/high pressure. Night time entertainment left a little to be desired. Th last bar shuts down at midnight on the nose. Pool bar closes way too early, at 6. Just as a warning, the place is very couple-y. All in all, a beautiful place, relaxing and enjoyable. I am glad I went, but doubt if i will return. I would just rather go smeplace new. But definitely worth it.
