“Excellent hotel and location”
Excellent hotel in a superb location, felt safe and secure. Can't wait to go back!
“Exellent Location”
The situation of the V and A is excellent it sits right next to a wharf with stunning views to Table Mountain. It allows dining "al fresco" to appreciate these views and probably see seals basking in the water. The rooms are a good size and fitted with a large bed. The whole area is lively with many resturants and shops just minutes away and all very secure. Will visit again in the future.
“So many things to like”
Modern, comfortable, clean rooms, plus the service and location make this a great hotel. Restaurant and bar also very good. Located on the waterfront next to shopping, restaurants, harbor views and cruises, and walking distance to the Capetown Aquarium. Easy access to the highways in and out of Capetown. We will stay here again.

“Fabulous Hotel in Great Location”
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 10 nights and from the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty from efficient and friendly staff who could not do enough for you. The hotel is in a wonderful location with magnificent views over Table Mountain and the vibrant waterfront. The rooms are of a high standard and very spacious (piazza facing room)and the king size beds are extremely welcoming and comfortable. The quality of the food at both the breakfast service and in the Oyo restaurant for dinner was exceptional and reasonably priced. All in all a wonderful stay and we would hope to return again one day.
“Best on Cape Town Waterfront”
We loved our room at the Victoria and Alfred. It was a redone loft feel. The hallways were light and airy. The view from the window was a mountain view of Table Mountain. We could hear South African music from our window and watch/hear the Cape Seals as well. The staff was excellent, quick and wanted to please. No matter what we wanted, they always said yes and produced it quickly. We will be back!
“Excelent choice!”
The hotel is clearly a nice and sophisticate one. People are very detail oriented. It was a good choice.
“Mixed Bag”
The hotel is excellent but has a problem with their dining room staff at breakfast. The service is disorganised and lacks leadership. They should either move to having all food available in a buffet, or allocate set staff to set tables.
“Best Hotel I have ever stayed in..”
This hotel is outstanding. Very special and stylish but at the same time friendly and informal. The room (Mountain View) was large and special - the staff cannot do enough for you. Wonderful breakfasts. Completely recommended.
“V & A - A wonderful hotel”
The Victoria & Alfred Hotel is on the waterfront in Cape Town and it is situated in a great place to get to everything, along with being within walking distance to a number of hotels. The hotel itself was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Cape Town.
