We stayed in room 224 and it was facing the road, the noise from the pubs opposite was really loud. There was no air conditioning in the room.

We were in a room at the front of the hotel. The bars on the other side of the street were very noisy. The street was noisy until after 3.00am. Whilst I know the hotel has no control over this it is not conducive to a pleasant stay. The room itself was tired, the net curtains were very dusty. Externally the hotel is also quite tired. On a positive note the staff were lovely

It was okay
It was lovely, the bed was comfortable & the bath was amazing. The apps on the tv were slow & the room was cold even with the heater on. I liked the fact that we could stay till 12. Wasn't over the moon for the price I paid as I don't feel like we had our money worth.

Rip off car park - Average food but good Gym/Pool
The Hotel itself was good with good leisure facilities which had friendly staff. My real disappointment was that it never indicated that there was no parking on-site. I had to use an NCP over the road which after the 'token' hotel guest discount cost me approx £50 for 2 nights parking! And I parked from around 7pm until 8am. If I knew this I would have booked elsewhere. The food was average but priced for a 'better' hotel. Cooked breakfast was only just warm and the evening meal was bland. You'll find somewhere better and be made to feel more welcome i;m sure. I won't return.

A good option for near to town.
Good location and nice clean room. The sink tap appeared to be faulty in the room so ran all night and disturbed our sleep. Also someone entered our room in the morning 90mins before checkout and caught me topless. I assume it was hotel staff. We didn't get to use the hotel spa or restaurant so cannot comment

Arrived at 5pm, needing to rest, having booked a Superior Room. Unfortunately, "Winter Wonderland" was in full swing immediately outside, as well as the tv not working. Reception said the fair would finish at 10pm and that it wasn't a problem for other guests. We asked to be moved and were downgraded, but away from the noise. The heating did not function. At 7pm, we were finally moved to another room, which was satisfactory. Two hours wasted - we could not even use the pool, or spa by this time. Reception kindly offered to refund the £10 price difference on the room we were eventually allocated. In the morning, we arrived early for breakfast. We waited in the doorway as instructed, and waited some time before we were seated. The continental breakfast was quite pleasant, but the cooked breakfast, on the other hand, was terrible. Nothing appeared to be freshly cooked, even though we were amongst the first in the dining room. Bacon was like cardboard, the sausages were overcooked and tasteless, and the eggs were like rubber (and when I checked the menu, they were supposed to be cooked to order). Had I not prepaid for our stay, i would have refused to pay when checking out. Staff didn't seem to care. We were told "sorry". 4 stars - absolutely not in my book. Awful

An ok stay
The overnight stay was to celebrate my husbands birthday. We enjoyed our stay but we were disappointed with a few things. Despite the room being very clean, it definitely needs updating. The room was very spacious but not very modern. Breakfast was very busy so we had to wait. This was not a problem for us though. Tea snd coffee arrived after we’d finished our breakfast. The tea snd coffee weren’t very nice at all but the breakfast was lovely.

Excellent hotel
Excellent stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Lovely breakfast and definitely worth the extra cost. Parking was expensive at the NCP, which is the only thing I'd have changed.

My daughter and her boyfriend stayed here as a it was gift for her birthday, she said that the hotel was beautiful and the room was lovely. This hotel is a lot more luxurious than others and worth the money for a treat. She said she would definitely stay again and is highly recommended.
