“One of the better hotels in Copenhagen”
I stay in Copenhagen Hotels 1-2 a month and have tried >10. I can say that this hotel has a good feel to it; the staff are friendly and polite (definately not a given in Copenhagen - just try the Kong Arthur to experience rudeness!) and the quality of the breakfast was excellent. The room was also excellent and it had access to several english speaking tv channels and free wifi.
“Excellent.”
Front rooms suffer a bit from traffic noise but not a major problem. Would certainly go back. Were very well looked after. Will book the same hotel on our next Copenhagen stay. 10 -15 min walk to City centre - good healthy way to start the day.
“Classy Hotel”
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby has a nice sitting lounge where you could relax in comfy chairs while sipping coffee or wine. The room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was great! It is located about 15 minutes walk from the downtown center. We would definitely go back! Travelers from Alberta,Canada
“Lovely hotel”
Not in centre, but bus stop right outside hotel, buses ran regularly and took only 5 mins into City Square. If going to Copenhagen again would certainly stay at this hotel. Friendly and comfortable hotel.
“Charming and excellent value”
The hotel may appear older and not in a prime area - but it is very convenient to subway stations, and walking or cycling in Copenhagen is a pleasure. The lobby and lounge are very "cozy" ( a high compliment in Denmark) - and the room ( we had a family room with large king sized bed, separate single and pull out couch option)...and ensuite bath with shower facing the street on 3rd floor. World's smallest elevator -but it works ! The continental breakfast was spectacular ! Beautiful courtyard. Excellent service and tast everywhere -cannot recommend it highly enough !
“Great choice”
The hotel's interior is well designed and a nice change from the standard decor of most chain hotels. Our room was upgraded and it was really lovely. The staff are friendly, the bar is welcoming with big sofas and a fire, and includes a good breakfast. You can walk easily to most areas from here. It's close to the metro and there's nice restaurants and shops within a few blocks. Great choice.
“Fine Place to Stay!”
We stayed here for a couple of nights. The hotel itself is not in the dead centre of Copenhagen, but it's only 15 minutes away from the Tivoli gardens and the other central attractions. The hotel has no mini-bar - instead, it has a 'fridge for guests to use - which is very civilised. The Internet access was free in the rooms, the bar was very comfortable, there's a nice area outside to sit, the car park's secure, the rooms are furnished in a contemporary style - all in, highly recommended!
“A friendly, clean and comfortable hotel”
Just came back from a 3 night stay at the Avenue. Nice friendly staff that speak english. Our room was at the front of the hotel with main road outside which is constantly noisy, but the beds are very comfortable, bed settee not so good. The hotel is spotless with a lovely bar/lounge area with very comfy sofas. Continental breakfast very nice, especially the yogert/honey/nuts.

“Cozy, convenient, affordable”
We wanted a moderately priced hotel close to Tivoli, with excellent reviews, and were very pleased with Avenue Hotel. The breakfasts were very good and the parlorlike lounge area was homey and inviting. We enjoyed the nearby Acropolis Restaurant which served good food in an attractive setting. We took the S250 bus from the airport, also back and forth to the Tivoli area and train station.
