“Hotel Selu- GREAT LOCATION, GREAT NIGHTS”

Hotel Selu had a fabulous location. Walking distance from all the major monuments/ attractions. Also, very close-by (2-5min walk approx.) there is a local supermarket 'Mercadonia' (these are well-known supermarket branches all over most of Spain) So,, if you need some munch it's very close-by & cheaper than other cafes/rest) Great service by staff- we had a problem because the room was too hot when we arrived & the AC was not working. (There was also no remote control for the AC) After, we called the Front Desk- they said they would send someone (they were very helpful & sent someone as soon as possible) Eventually, the room was lovely & cool (although, it would have been nice to walk into a cool room, considering we'd booked two rooms (a double & twin) The downside, was the fact that they would not give us the remote control & we would have to call them whenever we wanted to switch it on/off- minor problem though & overall the hotel was perfect.The rooms are a great size & very well designed & decorated. Very clean too.

“Great location”

Perfect location for Cordoba. Car parking is safe but a little expensive. Comortable and clean. You need to ask for a remote for the TV which is a bit odd if you need TV. We weren't able to modify the temperature in the room but this is not a big problem in October.

“Very convenient for walking to sights”

In need of some modernisation. Very central location. Visited in March when it was 23 deg C outside and heating still on / AC not working. So open window meant a noisy night's sleep.

Lovely little hotel- right in the centre of town between the shopping area and the historic centre. Walking distance to everything. Don't try and drive tho- teeny narrow roads but the hotel does have a secure carpark which you pay extra for. Very helpful staff- weird bed!!

“Chic and Functional”

This hotel was very nice to stay in. The desk staff was very helpful, the buffet was tasty, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Slightly modern decor but not over-the-top. I would definitely stay here again. Located roughly a 10 minute walk from the famous historic sights. The medieval-size streets make navigation slightly confusing but with a good map you're fine. Also located only a couple minutes walk from the main shopping district and several excellent restaurants. Definitely a excellent place to stay. (And if you're looking for your remote they have it at the front desk. and if it's hot in your room, go ask them to open your air conditioning at the desk and it's all better.-- the only two quirks we encountered.)

“Loved Cordoba”

The hotel was very cute and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay with them. They also had a parking garage which was a plus. It was very well situated for walking around and viewing all there was to see there.

“Good, clean, city centre hotel”

Hotel spotlessly clean and shining. Staff very friendly. Very well situated - all main sights within walking distance. Rooms very small which was a pity as in all other aspects it was excellent.

“A good find and bargain in Cordoba”

Hotel Selu was a nice find in Cordoba. The hotel's rooms were spacious, clean, and relatively modern. Hotel staff was courteous, helpful, and many spoke English well. The one drawback (and we read about this beforehand from other guests) was the poorly performing AC. We had two rooms on the 3rd floor; the AC worked poorly in one room, and was non-functioning in the other. As Cordoba can get hot and muggy, Selu might not be your best choice during the summer. Without AC, the room climate was moderately acceptable during ~85F weather in late May. It's too bad, because everything else at the hotel was exceptional, and we'd otherwise have rated it 5/5 if not for the AC. Our booked mid-week rate was a bargain for the caliber of hotel. As far as finding the hotel, if unfamiliar with the Cordoba layout, you may want to find a public lot and take a cab to the hotel. If you can navigate well to find the hotel, the parking lot is a nice convenience, and the hotel is easily walking distance from the Mesquita and other landmarks you'll be apt to visit in Cordoba. Parking will cost you extra and the lot is small (though had plenty of availability during our stay). Hotel staff tends to double-park in the underground lot below the hotel, but it was easy enough to get the staff to move cars for us to exit. A continental breakfast will also cost you extra, but was better than average and a convenient way to start the day.
