Hotels with Balcony in Madeira Region

"I was blown away!!! They are absolutely amazing!!! We had a 10 hr delay and upon arrival they met us with sparkling wine, directions to restaurants that were open late since we didn’t get to the hotel till after 11pm hungry and exhausted. The hotel restaurant was phenomenal!! We ate there once for dinner, every day for breakfast and dessert one night. We have GF/DF restrictions and they accommodated and made it completely normal. "I enjoyed my stay at Porto Mare and highly recommend it. It is conveniently located in the area with many restaurants. The bus stop is in front of the hotel and you can hop on a bus to the centre of Funchal, or take a walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery on your way. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful with all the information you need. "

But the best thing to me are the staff, who are all VERY helpful and cheerful. You can have a lovely building, rooms, food etc, but if the staff aren't pleasant then it's not good.
