"I was blown away!!! They are absolutely amazing!!! We had a 10 hr delay and upon arrival they met us with sparkling wine, directions to restaurants that were open late since we didn’t get to the hotel till after 11pm hungry and exhausted. The hotel restaurant was phenomenal!! We ate there once for dinner, every day for breakfast and dessert one night. We have GF/DF restrictions and they accommodated and made it completely normal. "I enjoyed my stay at Porto Mare and highly recommend it. It is conveniently located in the area with many restaurants. The bus stop is in front of the hotel and you can hop on a bus to the centre of Funchal, or take a walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery on your way. Downside was that we had to buy our own decaf teabags from the local supermarket as they don’t do decaf tea but do decaf coffee."
