"I was blown away!!! They are absolutely amazing!!! We had a 10 hr delay and upon arrival they met us with sparkling wine, directions to restaurants that were open late since we didn’t get to the hotel till after 11pm hungry and exhausted. The hotel restaurant was phenomenal!! We ate there once for dinner, every day for breakfast and dessert one night. We have GF/DF restrictions and they accommodated and made it completely normal. "We opted for bed and breakfast at the hotel, we did a lot of hiking whilst on Madeira and, the Saccharum resort breakfast never failed to set us up for whatever we were getting up to. First class service! Great local restaurants in the area but I have to call out the hotel restaurants as being second to none. We ate in the restaurant overlooking the infinity pool on two occasions- fantastic choice, efficiency and the staff were wonderful."

"Superb hotel in a great location. Very clean bedrooms and all areas of the hotel. The breakfast was brilliant, with lots of choice. But the best thing to me are the staff, who are all VERY helpful and cheerful. You can have a lovely building, rooms, food etc, but if the staff aren't pleasant then it's not good. I have to say ALL the staff members i met were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. VERY LOVELY HOTEL. "
