"This may have been the nicest place I stayed in Nepal, but I only stayed at a couple other places, and it is 4 star at best. The place itself was nice, but for shower hot water I had to call the desk each day to get them to heat up the water. The shower actually had a shower curtain, which was a positive I learned for Nepal. Also the green area in the picture is an illustion in that it is a park, not part of the property, and the lakeshore is full of litter and other garbage. I found the...

"Ok, this is hard to write because it is a beautiful property! Character in abundance ! Well trained staff ! Great welcome and my room was excellent perceived value for money ! Food for lunch and dinner was served fresh and at the correct temperature! Now the negatives ! My room was terribly noisy through badly fitting windows with zero insulation between room walls and the ceiling ! All the early evening was clip clop of people walking ! Not other fault of either the people just poor design...

"The staff is absolutely first class‼️ As are all KGH Group properties, the management is cheap. Half rolls of toilet paper, no tissues in the room, their lovely old wooden furniture needs varnish and repairing chips. I love the fact that there is a bunch of half feral cats, all well fed and taken care of by the staff. They lounge around in the gardens. They don’t approach the guests but also don’t run away.
