"Lovely stay at Yufuin. There is a free pick-up and drop-off options available from JR Yufuin Station which is a must unless you want to walk up crazy hills to get to the property. The room we stayed had traditional tatami mats and plenty of space to lounge around before enjoying hot springs. This property allowed us to book a private bath free of charge, and also the public bath that is open til late which was convenient. There is also free Japanese kimono that you can wear during your stay....

"Nice Japanese boutique hotel within walking distance to town. Single storey Japanese style cottages or rooms (new wing) surrounded by Japanese gardens and features. 4-5 private in door and outdoor onsens to choose from. Delicious breakfast and for those with 1/2 board, the set dinner was very good with free flow of sake, coffee/tea and orange juice. Coffee/tea and orange juice also available at the reception lobby throughout our stay. Will stay again if visiting Yufurin in near future"

"The hotel itself is in a great location with amazing services and teams. The room we stayed in was nice and big and was restocked when needed. I definitely like that we need to take our shoes off at the entrance and the entire hotel is covered in tatami mats! My only issue is that this hotel is used by a lot of foreign tour groups who may not be the most polite people. We had lots of people push in queues for food or drinks, not clean properly before getting in the onsen, etc. so beware of...

"This is really something to be experienced. It is new (2023) and massive - hundreds and hundreds of guests. It is a spa, first and foremost. The rooms are huge, quiet, and elegant; the numerous staff are efficient and multi-lingual. Hot springs in the building, hundreds of guests strolling about in hotel yukata, views of the peaks and ocean. "Very clean and very comfortable. They are very vague about you putting everything back. Does it mean you have to wash all of your dishes and put them back exactly? Communication was lacking. Of the two emails I sent, I never got a response. I left some stuff there and asked if it was found and they decided not to answer me. I ended up leaving it there so I suppose someone else is not enjoying it."

"2박 묵는동안 가족들 모두 편안하게 잘 지냈습니다. 일본어를 전혀 못해서 걱정했는데 리셉션에서 영어로 응대해주셔서 큰 어려움 없이 체크인 할 수 있었습니다.또한 따뜻한 온천탕에서 여행으로 쌓인 피로를 풀 수 있었습니다. 이용객이 많지 않아 저희 가족이 전세 낸 듯 사용할 수 있어 좋았습니다! 저희가족은 노천탕을 기대하고 갔는데 11월~4월까지는 노천탕 운영을 하지 않는다고 하여 이용은 못했습니다. 다음에 노천탕 이용위해서 또 바문 할 의향이 있습니다. 리조트 옆에 편의점이 있고 차로 5분거리에 큰 마트도 있어서 장보기에 편리했습니다. 또한 차로 30분정도 거리에 아프리칸 사파리와 벳푸 시내에 갈 수 있어 접근성이 좋았습니다."
