“Hotel closest to Florence airport”

We needed a hotel close to the Florence airport and were so surprised at how clean it was. They spoke Enlgish. helped us with our luggage, called a taxi within 5 mintues at 4:15 a.m. and even had a bathtub. Great place although when you drive up you really wonder. Go on in!

“great hotel, fantastic staff”

Excellent hotel. It is a little out of town but only a 20 minute bus ride, tickets can be brought from the hotel (1.20 euros). Hotel staff could not have been more helpful with places to go and what buses to take - worked out a lot cheaper than the hop-on-hop-off tourist bus and we went to places the tourist ride didn't take you. A taxi from town to the hotel at night was about 15 euros. Down side was not very keen on the surrounding area of the hotel, could not find great bars or resturants within walking distance but with everything just a bus ride a way it wasn't a problem.

“Great Hotel - pleasant surprise”

Decided to stay here because of Expedia reviews. Generally, for European hotels, I take away a star and that comes closer to the american hotel rating. (4 star europe = 3 star US). Didn't know what to expect but very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is a small boutique hotel about 3 miles from the train station. Very modern in decor, very clean. Shower stall is small but adequate. People at the desk were more than helpful and all spoke English, at least enough to get by. Teh restauran recommended in this space, Ott & ? was very good. The owner/maitre d' is a real character. Overall extremely pleased with the hotel and would go back there again. Equivalent to any Hyatt/Marriott in the states. Rooms are small but that is typical of Europe. Great breakfast buffet but they do close it right on time so make sure you are there before closing. Bus stop is a half block away and a 10 minute ride to the train station. From there the Duomo is a 5 minute walk. The cab drivers also seemed to know where the hotel was once given the name. You won't do any better than this hotel. I travel very frequently.

“would stay anytime”

The staff was excellent, the room clean, comfortable and fine for 2 or 3 nights. If you are staying longer then you might find it a bit small. The staff suggested a couple of good places to eat and the morning breakfast was excellent. Close to the train station and airport by taxi which was cheaper then most US or Canadian taxis.

“Top value”

Excellent hotel that is worth the effort to take the bus ride into town (which could not be simpler). You will sleep like a baby in the extremely comfortable beds and will be impressed by the extensive breakfast. Worth every penny.

“Great Hotel Would Highly Recommend”

Hotel was everything promised and more. Was very quiet, clean and new. Rooms were comfortable and clean! Did I mention clean!!!! Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. We seemed to be there at an off time with mostly european business travelers. Concierges were all helpful. It is a bus ride to the center of Florence. Buses ran often but the times we rode they were a bit crowded but it was worth it to not be in the noisy center of Florence and in a new Hotel! It is a short taxi ride from and to the airport. You can take a bus but we did not because we were exhausted. It was about 15 Euro...but we had 3 bags and they charge a euro per bag. I found the neighborhood to be fine and never felt uneasy. I also did not go exploring either. We were very happy with our choice and LOVED Florence.

“Convenient and better than expected”

Hotel Cosmopolitan was a new, clean, modern hotel that was perfect for my family and I to spend the evening in before our return flight home. It is minutes from the airport but also a short cab ride into the center of Florence. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

“Awesome Hotel”

This hotel is amazing. Very clean, and about a 10 to 15 minute bus ride into the main train station in Florence. We enjoyed the location because we did not want to be right in the mix of the hustle and bustle of downtown Florence. Our rooms were not huge but just enough for us. Watching tv at night was difficult because we did not understand the language. But that didnt bother us. The hotel staff was amazing. Any question or request we had, it was honored. Oh, ask for ice in lobby, ice is not a common practice in restaurants and hotels. When we first arrived we were greeted and handed a map and key locations to check out. Also, the full breakfast was lovely. From eggs, to fruit, tea, cereal, muffins, crossaints etc, we ate very well. There are some restaurants in the area, which we liked because it was authentic Italian cooking vs. tourist restaurants. All within 5 to 10 minutes of walking distance. We also got the oppurtunity to check out late on our departure date, for a nominal fee. All and all we are very pleased with our stay and we highly recommend this modern classly hotel. Gratis.

“Great for early plane”

Easy check in and location to catch a plane early the next morning. Close to the bus stop and easy access to city centre.

“Excellent Hotel”

I stayed at this hotel for my honeymoon. This hotel was outstanding. The hotel is beautiful. It's a brand new hotel with excellent clean rooms w/ flat screen televisions. Some guests may be swayed by the fact that it's not in the center of the city, but the city is only a 10 minute bus ride away. This hotel is too amazing in quality and price to pass up for not wanting to take a short 10 minute bus ride. I definitely plan to stay here again the next tme I visit Florence.
