In the middle of the Florida Keys, Sombrero Resort and Marina is located in Marathon, which is equidistant from Key Largo and Key West, at 50 miles from both. There are four lighted tennis courts on site, and 71 marina slips. Next door is Sombrero Country Club, one of the few golf courses in the Keys. Fishing, boating, and snorkeling are all close by. Complimentary beer and wine are offered at a Manager's Cocktail Party every evening from 5-7 PM.

Sombrero Resort and Marina has 124 one-bedroom condo-style suites in two three-story buildings with exterior corridors. Suites all provide views of the harbor canal from private balconies, and include kitchens, dining tables and chairs, sofa beds, and separate sitting areas.

“can't wait to go back!”
Comfort of the room! Overal Satisfacton with the hotel...
“Sombrero Resort”
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The view from our room was great, especially seeing all those nice boats a stones throw away. The bed and room were very nice and comfortable. Staff was friendly. A nice central spot to spend a few days in the Keys.
“I'LL Be Back !!!”
we were very impressed with the room it was very comfortable and roomy we had a great view of the pool on one side and the marina on the other side. the pool was very clean and the tiki bar was a great feature for our enjoyment pool side. the staff was very friendly, we requested additional towels and received them very quickly.we are already recomending the sombrero cay club to friends for a trip back in November.

“Nice place to lay your Head”
Hotel was nicely located at the midpoint of the Keys just 2 miles from Sombrero Beach. The first room that was assigned to us had old carpet and hadn't be renovated. We requested another room and gentleman behind the desk gladly accomodated our request even with limited vacancy. The new room was wonderful. Wall-to-wall ceramic tiles, cabinets and furniture was updated. We had a nice view overlooking a deep water canel leading to the ocean. They were in the process of updating other rooms during our stay; for future visits outdated rooms shouldn't be an issue.
“would be happy to return”
Good position half way down the Keys convenient for visiting Key West and other attractions. Swimming pool very good with tiki bar, but other than this cannot see how they can charge such a high daily resort fee. Overall condition of the hotel very good and seems to be in the hands of new management.
“Give the Sombrero a try”
We go to the keys every year. After our favorite place was demolished in favor of new condos a few years ago, we have been looking for a new favorite place. We found it this year at the Sombrero. The location was convenient to where we like to go and the room was great. If you are looking for a nice clean place to spend your time while not fishing, I suggest the Sombrero resort. Great Keys getaway spot.

this was my third annual birthday trip to Marathon, I must say that Sombrero was the best.

“Surprisingly Nice”
Great place! A hidden gem. Staff is good, rooms are spacious and clean. Love the balcony and the view overlooking the canal and the boats.
