Two blocks from the beach, The Gallery One - A Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel is two miles from the airport and downtown Fort Lauderdale.
The heated outdoor pool overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway; guests can also work out in the fitness center. VUE on the WATER offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, also with views of the Intracoastal.
Fort Lauderdale's water taxi regularly stops at the hotel dock offering guests access to the exclusive shopping district of Las Olas Boulevard, the Port Of Fort Lauderdale, and the Bahia Mar Marina without having to drive.
A business center offers complimentary high-speed Internet access, and other business services including copying and printing. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas (surcharge). The smoke-free hotel has 8,000 square feet of meeting space, including the Gallery One Ballroom.
An additional 5,000 square feet of outdoor space is popular for weddings. The front desk lends toys to children and offers child care and children's activities programs (surcharges).
Rooms
The hotel offers 231 newly renovated (summer 2006) nonsmoking guest suites in an 11-story building. Suites overlook the Intracoastal Waterway or the Fort Lauderdale skyline. They feature the Sweet Dreams® by Doubletree Sleep Experience bed, which includes a plush-top mattress that is triple-sheeted with high-thread-count linens; a down comforter; and a supply of jumbo pillows.
Suites include sofa beds, marble foyers, and plasma TVs. Both bedrooms and living/dining rooms are equipped with televisions and phones. Large bathrooms include gray-marble vanities and tub/shower combinations.
Kitchens offer granite countertops, refrigerators, microwaves, stovetops, dishwashers, cookware, and coffeemakers. Most suites provide a balcony furnished with two chairs and a table, but a balcony cannot be guaranteed.

VUE on the WATER - Open daily from early morning until late evening. Two levels of indoor dining with views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Outdoor seating available on large patio with umbrella tables and palm trees. Buffet and à la carte breakfast. Lunch and dinner menu offering steaks, seafood, pasta, sandwiches, salads, and burgers.
Vue Bar - Open for lunch and dinner every day. Tropical drinks and a light menu served next to the pool.
Gallery Bar - Indoor lounge overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Full bar serving cocktails and snacks.
Recreation
The hotel includes a swimming pool, spa tub, and small fitness center.
The hotel is two blocks from Fort Lauderdale's beaches, where guests can find vendors renting water sports equipment. Marinas are abundant in the area, and chartered yacht cruises, fishing excursions, and scuba adventures are available. Hiking trails, jogging tracks, and tennis courts are available within one mile of the hotel.

“Amazing place to stay.”
In all my travels I had the best time here. Beautiful and easy to access the sights and/or beaches. Just dont forget, ask for cookies. They are complimentary (as many as you'd like) as long as you're a guest. They are delishious!!
“Very Nice”
Nice hotel and short walk to 8 minute walk to beach. Walking distance to coffee shop and other shops.
“Very pleased”
Check in was fast and friendly. Suite was clean and had all the necessities, including a kitchette w/dish washer, microwave and mini-stove. Room was very clean and bathroom was especially nice. Breakfast buffet was included with room price and was satisfactory. This hotel was a little farther from the cruise port than other hotels, but the quality is much better and worth the extra distance. A mall is within walking distance also. Highly recommend this hotel.
“A refreshing start for our trip”
The hotel reviews previously mentioned the hotel elevators being a problem, yes there are problems. We asked and found out the hotel is part of a condo association agreement and the hotel is aware of the problem but is limited in what they can do. Ask for a room on a lower floor in case of needing to use the stairs. The rooms are clean, neat and very comfortable. The closeness to the ocean and the Galleria Mall were perfect for our needs. The food court in the Mall was a real bonus. As a traveler's tip, contact the airport shuttle service in advance and pay less than a cab. The charge is by person. Our cab was $32 plus tip from the airport. We would stay at the Gallery One again.

“Very Very Impressed!”
The hotel was excellent. Service was great and the suite was beautiful. We traveled with 2 adults and 3 children and the suite was more than enough room. The hotel staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back and spending more time - 5 days is never enough!
“Would Stay Again”
We checked in the hotel and the agent was very nice but we later came to learn the hotel put a $223.00 hold on our credit card for incidentials????? The agent did not tell us this fee prior to checking in. So when we inquired about this fee they promptly took the hold off our card and explained they put the charge on the card for people that skip out. I'm a hard working person and would not skip out so I felt disrespected.. BEWARE!!! The room and the hotel was exceptional..extremely nice..you can take the Water Taxi to all the bars and resturants..we rented a car and the parking is very high and you must pay $23.00 per night for valet parking and $20.00 for self parking but the self parking lot is kind of far to walk too., You must go to the Beach Place at Lulu's as the food and drinks is awesome!!!!
“Will definitely go back”
It was fabulous from beginning to end!! The hotel is very near to the airport a short ride, the hotel was spectacular we had a view of the waterway which was nice. The rooms are extremely spacious and the house cleaning was very thorough and also very pleasant; all of the hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The location is great with the beach a 7min walk away and the water taxi stops right at the hotel. The only thing that would have been nice would have been to have more choice in restaurants nearby you definitely need a car as the restaurants within walking distance are quite expensive as is the shopping. They are building a large Publix directly across the street which will be great considering the rooms have kitchens. Already miss the place:( until next time

“Extremely Pleased”
I was very surprised and happy with the quality and comfort of the room. The kitchen was awesome and the bedroom and bathroom were perfect. The only downside was, the balcony was about a foot wide, just enough room to step your foot out of the sliding doors, they did have rooms that we saw from the road that had full size balconies. This was probably the best and most comfortable room we have rented in years. Thanks
