"The location is great. Lots of restaurants nearby, 50 yards from a subway station, and a bust stop also very close. However, the room was just ok. Kitchen had no dishes or cookware, so it was pretty much a waste of space. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have endured in as long as I can remember. It served the purpose. One thing I found strange was that the reception desk said there was no breakfast. However, on the day I checked out, I saw people eating breakfast. Go figure. "

"Good deal for the price paid. 10mins walk from Zumiao station whereby all the mall are around that area. Directly opposite Sofitel. Nothing around the hotel but a good 10mins walk bring you to all that you need. Linked train to Guangzhou, about 30mins. Compared to the other 4 star hotel - Sofitel and crown plaze, Golden city definitely stand up for 1/3 of the price. Gotta try the 顺德双皮奶 12rmb, really good. The Claypot rice 15rmb along the way to zumiao station from hotel is good too.. "

"When we checked in, they couldn’t find our reservation record which we paid in advance to Expedia. we booked a lower rate room with no breakfast and have to pay at the spot (US$60 cheaper than what we paid to Expedia). When we checked out, they refunded us what we paid to them but not the amount that we paid to Expedia since they already received the payment from Expedia."
