“I am going back as soon as I am finish paying for my first vacation.”
the hotel was very comfortable and in good location to spend time away from the busy life of the city.I like the country style and the comfort that i can cook in or go out to dinner. the hotel was a small home away from home. I will recommand a hotel kitchen to this hotel in the very near future. Thank you
“Spoiled Scuba Diver”
We couldn't have asked for more. The condo was super clean and comfortable with a great view of the water and the friendliest, most knowledgable staff...bar-none. The diving was excellent! I was a newly certified diver and I felt extremely comfortable with the staff and dive masters. All dives were planned and you go either un/guided. Their "green short" valet service will spoil you! Only con I can think of is there is no beach to swim. You'll have to drive to 7 Mile for that.
“Highly recommend Compass Point Dive Resort”
We just stayed (5/28 - 6/3 2006) at the Compass Point Dive Resort on Grand Cayman and it was great! The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, helpful and just so nice! I went to relax and I really felt for the first time in years that I got "away from it all". My son went to scuba and had the time of his life. Ocean Frontiers is right on sight for Scuba Diving or Snorkeling and their staff were professional and fun to deal with. What a hard working group they are, from sun-up to sun-set.....I was exhausted watching them! You should get a car, the grocery store is just a few miles down the road, and with a kitchen in the condo, we ate breakfast right there. There are some great restaurants nearby, Portofino's, Over the Edge, The Lighthouse and I highly recommend Castro's Hideaway at The Reef, especially on Tuesday or Thursday night when the Barefoot Man is entertaining on the patio, just WONDERFUL!
“Wonderful operation”
Compass Point & Ocean Frontiers is very well run. Definitely a hotel for divers by divers. Once we arrived on site we never had to touch our dive gear. It was ported to & from the boats, rinsed & hung every day. Being on the east end of the island gave us the chance to dive locations we wouldn't have had we stayed in the more frequented west end. All in all a great experience. Next time I go to Grand Cayman I want to stay at Compass Point and continue diving with Ocean Frontiers.
“Wonderful!”
We had a great time. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. Our room, 103 was nice, attractive, everything we needed, all with a view. The dive operation was excellent; no hassles and really friendly. We've done a lot of diving over 30 years and have never been treated better. We'll go back.
“Excellent Value & Best Dive Op on Island”
Compass Point is run as top notch as the dive operation, Ocean Frontiers is. The rooms are spotless and very well equiped, even down to the rubber duckie in the tub. My wife and I and our two children ages 12 and 11 stayed in the one bedroom, the kids love the murphy beds. The kids enjoyed the staff there so much we had to run around and get pics with them before we left. We'll be sure to be back.
“Fantastic Experience!!!”
4 days in paradise, and I cant imagine having stayed anyplace else. Suprisingly great location, with about equal access to Rum Point and 7 Mile beach. Fantastic rooms, staff, etc. We will be back for sure!
“Outstanding Dive Resort”
We found the condos here to be very comfortable and well furnished down to the little details. Having the Dive Shop on site and their "valet Diving" type service made for a fantastic week of diving. All of the dives were well planned and spectacular. Quiet & peaceful location.
“Would definately stay again”
Our room was beautiful and spotless. The resort was on the quite side of the island - but not too far from anything. Ocean Frontier Divers were great too. We couldn't have been treated any better anywhere. The only downfall was that there was not really a swimming area there on the beach - but there was a pool. There is not much swimming on that side of the island but it is easy enough to drive to 7 mile beach -which of course is a lot more crowded. Our entire vacation was great and we plan to return.
“Relaxing East End”
Compass Point is a small, lovely condo complex on Grand Cayman's East End. Catering primarily to divers -- and the on-site dive operator, Ocean Frontiers, is amazing -- the resort gives a great alternative from the tourist heavy Georgetown. The condos are spacious, clean, and have beautiful panoramic ocean views. The entire staff is warm and responsive to visitors' needs without being overly solicitous. In short, the place is delightful and peaceful -- a must for any diver. I can not wait to go back!
