“Nice quaint Mexican hotel”

This is a pleasant Mexican hotel - we were the only Americans staying there. It is perfectly located behind the Parroquia, close to great shopping and restaurants. The smell of the room was horrible on arrival, but had disappeared by the second day. They advertise as serving breakfast with the room rate - their version of free breakfast is a plate of chopped fruit and a cup of black coffee. This is fine, but we ordered eggs, and were surprised to be charged upon check out. The staff was pleasant. The grounds were beautiful - a pool surrounded by a garden - hummingbird nests in the trees. Very nice to enjoy when not shopping til you drop.
