“Very satisfied!”
The hotel is well-maintained and clean. Our room was as advertised. The restaurant was excellent and the staff tried very hard to communicate with us in English. As non-smokers, we were a little disappointed that we could not use the patio more for drinks and meals, but smoking is allowed generally in Germany at the outside cafes. The location is very good to see a lot of the tourist-type sites. We definitely recommend it and will stay there again if we return to Hannover. We also stayed at a Mercure Hotel in Amsterdam and we were also pleased with it.

I cannot praise enough the hotel Mercure Hannover City in terms of position; quality of staff, room and restaurant; and overall feeling of being a welcome guest. I found all the staff to be the most helpful and friendly of any hotel in any country in which I have stayed. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I really felt like a welcome guest in a homely situation. Breakfast was the only meal I took in the hotel and was sufficient to see me through until evening. The little bar was cosy and quiet and offered a wide selection of beer and wines. My room was spacious and well set out; there was nothing I could envisage which would have made it better Situated at the end of Willy-Brandt Allee and beginning of Osterstrasse the hotel is ideal for a guest who likes to walk a city to get the feel. Exit the hotel and turn left and in 5-10 minutes you find yourself at the Maschsee, a lake with boats for hire. Turn right to go down Osterstrasse and you come to Friedrichswall (Ring road); on your left is the Rathaus (Town Hall) and across the road is the HBX brewery and restaurant, good food and beer. Further 10 mins down Osterstrasse is the main shopping centre; the Altstadt (old town) to the left and Hauptbahnhof (Rail station) to the right. All the main attractions of the city are within 15 minutes walk of the hotel: Perfect I have no doubt that I shall happily return to this hotel and very much recommend it for single or family stays.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff and convenient location. We left the hotel very satisfied. We would def recommend it to anyone looking for a central accomodation in Hannover.

I stayed at the hotel on a business trip with two colleagues. Our rooms were clean and pleasantly furnished. The service was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant on one evening and our meals were beautifully cooked. A greater selection of toiletries would have been appreciated though as would a kettle and tea/coffee in the room.

The hotel has many good features. The location is good, most of the staff tried hard and the rooms were quite comfortable. The staffing of the bar was poor and the English speaking tv was limited to BBC World News! We visited the Taj Mahal restaurant and had a very bad experience. Take my advice and do not go near the place! The hotel sent for a taxi and the taxi driver charged us 10 Euros more than the inward journey.This was not the fault of the hotel. Beware of the taxis in Hanover! The Christmas Market is excellent. I would go back to the hotel.
