“Exellent location, helpful staff, quiet street”
Exellent location (see attached photo form top floor), helpful staff, ex-"Best Western" (e.g. they are familiar with what international travellers expect from logging), quiet street (it is very crucial for Istambul old city).
“Top location”
We really liked the friendly manager called cem hotel itself is near all major locations Beautiful view from the breakfast bar
“Top Hotel for Top City Sites”
City's top sights are on the doorstep of this modest but well-run hotel, with helpful friendly staff. Fantastic views from the breakfast-room terrace of the iconic Blue Mosque and Sea of Marmara.
“Ideal Spot For A Short Stay”
Me and my son only had one day in Istanbul and this was the best place I could of ever hoped for. It is kitty corner from the Blue Mosque, Ayasofya is about a block away and The Yerebatab Cistern is inbetween them. Plus the Grand Bazaar the Spice Market are only about 20 walking minutes away. And the view from the breakfast room is one of the best in the city. The Breakfast buffet was great. They had a nice veriety of food and the views are great. The rooms were comperable of other european hotels. Not very big but very comfortable. The hotel had a comfortable lobby area with chairs, couches and rugs that gave it a home like feel. And it had a computer avaliable to use. The staff was really friendly and helped us with rides to the airport, mailing postcards and directions. I even called there to ask if they would hold our luggage if we got to the hotel earlier than check in time and they said they would hold our luggage. When we arrived they had a room avaliable and let us have it early. I loved Istanbul and would stay here again if I go back.
“Great location in Istanbul, Sultanahmet neighborhood”
I didn't spend a lot of time in my room, so it was perfect for meeting the basic necessities. It was in a great location within the neighborhood of Sultanahmet, I could go out and explore and easily stop back to drop off or pick up anything I needed throughout the day. The staff were great, and the location really was perfect for anyone interested in exporing the wealth of history and culture of the neigborhood. Plus, it was a quick walk to the train if you don't want to do an excessive amount of walking to other neighborhoods (I personally love to walk, and made my way on foot as far north as Galata hill).
“Great for sightseeing”
The hotel couldn't have been in a better location for visiting all the sights on foot. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the view from the breakfast room was breathtaking. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we were given fresh towels every day.
“Wonderful Place to Stay”
Hotel Spectra and their staff were WONDERFUL!!! They treated us like we were a member of their family. Everyone on their staff was kind, friendly and helpful. If we're ever back in Istanbul, we will be staying at Hotel Spectra again.
“Wonfer Hotel in Wonderful Location”
My wife and I loved the Hotel Spectra. We found the rooms to be comfortable, the hotel staff exceptionally helpful, and the location to be perfect. We plan to go back as soon as we can for another stay. The locations is in the Sultanahment area, not far from the tramway line. It was easy to get to from the main bus station, which is how we arraived. There are shuddles from the airport too. The owner is a retired professor of physics who speaks English perfectly. The hotel staff had great restaraunt recommndations. The breakfasts were lovely, especially sitting on the enlosed roof terrace overlooking the Blue Mosque. I recommend this hotel highly.
“Great location & great staff.”
Most things about this hotel were as we expected. It is a 3-Star hotel and as such we thought it was great value for money. The location is fantastic, being in a small street just a few yards from the Blue Mosque and therefore within easy walking distance off all the sites in the Sultahmet area. With the tram stop so close as well it was easy to get to other areas including north of the Golden Horn. One of our rooms looked a little tied and ready for renewal but everything else was very good. The breakfast was fantastic, and the view while eating unbeatable. All the staff, from cleaners to manager, were extremely friendly and helpful. We would certainly go there again.
“A Gem in the Historic District”
This small well maintained hotel was located in the district of Sultanamet within walking distance of the Blue Mosque,Haggia Sophia and a number of other tourist attractions. The staff were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.Rooms were clean and the morning breakfast was excellent.I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting reasonable accomodations in this area.
