“A classic”
The King David is of course a classic, and my one day and one night there topped my recent stay in Israel. To me it was worth the money. Service was perfect. I arrived by rental car at the main gate and to my surprise the car was immediately taken care of by valet parking, and it was free of charge! Just a tip the next day. The hotel lobby and large breakfast room were wonderfully decorated, in old Jewish temple style. The buffet breakfast is gorgeous, even when you are a seasoned traveller. The old-town view from my 2nd foor room was marvellous and inspiring. The rooms are large and generous, the decor is more on the plain and comfortable side. The hotel recently added a work-out place and a sauna. This is maybe the only thing in the hotel that still needs to be thought through a little bit more. For instance, there is little space to rest in between different sauna sessions. But, overall, the King David is a perfect place to relax and to dream.
“The best I've ever stayed at”
Service, amnenities, etc. were incredible. Absolutely worth the money.
“King David would be proud”
Great room on 6th floor with a spectacular view of the old city...watched the sunrise from our window. Service was excellent, room was large and clean with high ceilings and right balance of old+new (large flat panel TV and TV in glass in bathroom, etc). Highly recommended!
